Hi there, my name is James and I enjoy playing TSW4 on my XBOX Series S. My only question is, how do I get the AWS to work and the alerters to sound? I have tried pressing the AWS button in the cab to turn the AWS system on but it doesn't do anything Many thanks James
All of them, I can't seem to get either the AWS to work or the alerter to sound whichever train I drive
Forgive me if I sound thick but I don't have as much knowledge about trains as some others do, I am guessing then that if pressing the AWS button doesn't activate the system then its' purpose must be to respond to an alerter for a red signal/change in the speed limit etc?
How do you do that on the Xbox S series? I've tried to find out how to do so but have unfortunately hit a brick wall.
I wondered this too James. On the 43 there's an AWS isolation switch on the far left of the dash labelled SPARE. For loco's that don't offer this, there's a workaround - On Steam, you hit CTRL + RETURN. On my Xbox, I started the scenario, plugged a keyboard in, did CTRL-RETURN and removed it and it works. Not great, but it does work. Hope that helps EDIT: For some reason, on the 150, SHIFT-RETURN does it. EDIT: On old locos like the 37, you also need to look behind you and set the AWS Cab Change Lever to On.
To manually turn it on in the 158, stand up and go to the right of the cab, look up above the front window and you'll see three cylindrical locks. The middle one is AWS which will be set to isolated. Select it with a and turn it to normal mode mode and you'll hear the alarm going off which you'll be able to clear once you sit down and hit b. Apart from some of the old diesels, most of the modern uk trains have a similar thing, look for the set of cylindrical locks and enable aws, vigilance etc. for all the beeps and alarms when driving!
