DTG can you uninstall the DLC you are working on when you make a showcase video or was this purely purposefully so we create drama 'bout it?

So I guess the new German Route just got narrowed down by that?

At least it’s diesel this time.

(missed a digit, 642 is Siemens of course).

    642 isn't a Diesel-Talent.

Wonder if it’s a route or just a loco add on, could be for Riesa Dresden?

Eitherway, these things are exceptionally ugly, very much like the Talent 1’s.

a loco addon wouldn't have a route to display in the route selection map

That wouldn't make a whole lot of sense. You could only drive it back and forth between Dresden Hbf and Dresden-Neustadt. I'd assume it'll come with a new route, which the red 628 will probably layer onto as well.

Could be our next cross border route? Germany to Poland maybe.

OBB also used the DB sets on the Mattigtalbahn. I think the route may well be more interesting than the train here.

I wonder if they will release it with OBB liveries as well? It could make good commercial sense to offer additional livery packs for many of the items that they have released to date.

Are those used on any lines to Poland other than the Berlin -- Wroclaw "Kulturzug"?

As someone who lives in Dresden, I have to admit I don't quite understand all the fuss made about the airport branch. It's not a very exciting line by any means.

Not a bad idea because then maybe that's why we got a new red livery for the 628 EMU? And the 612 could be used. But its 138km long non-electrified main line.

For a main line, we'd need a big diesel loco too. I'd rather see DTG build up the diesel railcar fleet on a few nice branch line routes until TSG releases the 232.

Also, Desiro Classic trains are used in the US, on the "SPRINTER" between Oceanside and Escondido. Don't know a lot about that line, would it make an interesting TSW route?

No drama about it, it’s kinda DTG’s signature to leak unintentionally new DLCs (it’s rare when it’s not JD :D). I’m really excited to get another German DMU, DTG seems to pay more attention about it and I like it.

You can see the name of the route blurred out so it needs to be something that matches that word pattern,

xxxxxxx-xxxxxxxxxx - xxxxxx kind of word pattern

It's been suggested on the TSC Discord that this could be Maintalbahn: Aschaffenburg - Wertheim - it's 68 km, and according to Wikipedia uses both the 642 and 628 so would make sense. The route name would also fit the name pattern.

Could also be "Route Name: xxxx - xxxx."

The video also has a "MAIN" 363, Habbiins and Roos-T. What's a route that has 642 (and probably also 628s) on the river Main?

    upload_2023-9-29_21-19-35.png

Edit: Oooh, Maintalbahn totally makes sense! Cool!

This could also means that we would get the TSG DB BR 218 as an add-on for this route ! Yes please :)[IMG] [IMG]
Both pics were the first things google showed me when i searched for "Maintalbahn: Aschaffenburg - Wertheim"

just please DTG, please, change the livery of the included 363. We have already gotten it 3 times in blue, and that is completely wrong for modern era, and it is getting boring too. There are lots of interesting possibilities there ...

That turns it into an ÖBB Baureihe 5022 just like how the 182 became the 1016/1116 DB/Railpool BR193 becoming the ÖBB Baureihe 1293 DB BR194 The West German Krokodil becoming the ÖBB Baureihe 1020.

No Its the line from Aschaffenburg to Wertheim! WestFrankenbahn... On the nose of the train is a small yello sign Bwegt Sign (Baden Würtenberg) that you nearly see but and in combination with the MAIN information is that the most good route that is to find out. Thanks to the Rail-Sim.de forum.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Westfrankenbahn

This also a point why the red 628 is build for TSW4 in the modern time with the diffrent Modern GSM-R... Now you have no any route to drive and why TSG build such a model for only AI?!

That meant Dresden Hbf Gorlitz Gorlitz Moys (Zorgolec) Breslau (Wroclaw) in Silesia basically you want the Saxon Silesian Mainline. I had to use the German name for Zorgolec & Wroclaw due to German speakers inability to say polish city names correctly. Speaking of the 642 Austrians refer to them as 5022

Aschaffenburg to Wertheim is called Maintalbahn. Westfrankenbahn is the name of the DB subsidiary that operates the line, not the name of the line itself.

My bet would be the Maintalbahn as well
    Aschaffenburg - Wertheim

Since we have Aschaffenburg in the game already it would make sense.

For the German speakers Wroclaw is never said that way instead they refer to it as Breslau Provinz Schlesien because it was part of Germany 90 years ago. For Berlin Breslau you have EU44 PKP Designation for ÖBB Baureihe 1216 EU46 Vectron PKP designation for the following German and Austrian trains DB Railpool Baureihe 193 ÖBB Baureihe 1293 EP07 EU06 their designation for a British class 83 locomotive for WCML North and Shap routes

Good detective work everyone... unfortunately Aschaffenburg-Wertheim makes absolute sense. Aschaffenburg-Gemünde has the first couple of miles of the route allready included on the map. To be honest, I was hoping for something different (Berlin, Stuttgart, Frankfurt or the likes).
I wonder if it might include a TOD4 overhaul of Aschaffenburg-Gemünden? But I guess not...it will just be a new seperate map.

I’m pretty ‘whelmed’ about this route. Not overwhelmed, not underwhelmed, just ‘whelmed’.
It feels pretty random. Not a well-known or interesting route. It’s very short. Another rehash of the blue 363, which is horrible to drive because the brakes keep breaking. Diesel only, which I don’t like but that’s a matter of taste.
I guess this one will not make it to my collection, just like the Niddertalbahn.

Having finally (sort of) tracked down the timetable, appears it’s another bus service type route with stops every few minutes.

The timetable has hourly all-stops RegionalBahn trains (and for those this is actually a fully self-contained route) and hourly RegionalExpress trains with two different stopping patterns that alternate every other hour, one of which gives you a 15 minute nonstop run from Aschaffenburg to Obernburg-Elsenfeld. There are also a few rush-hour extra trains with various different stopping patterns. Two very different DMUs to run these services in. Plus shunting and freight runs in the 363. And the length of the services (45 minutes for all stops, 35 minutes express) is pretty well within my personal sweet spot for a Train Sim World session.

I wasn't really aware of this route before the announcement, but having looked into it since, I'm quite excited.

Another thing worth noting: four RB stops (the ones marked with an x in the timetable) are request stops. I wonder if (and how) that will be represented in TSW.

We’ve had request stops before, they just end up as regular stops and get timetabled.

If you flick the brakes only slightly to "Release" they get stuck. Try spawning a 363 in Free Roam, and a couple of wagons to couple up to. I'm sure you'll manage to lock up the brakes.
