So yesterday I was driving on RSN towards Finnentrop as a short but extremely heavy freight in the 185.2 as usual with PZB, SiFa and AFB. Had chosen clear weather with a little bit of rain. Suddenly (and I mean suddenly, as in out of nowhere) I hear thunder(?) and my dials start to go crazy, the HUD shows me these red zigzags next to the speed? The problem was cleared by (while still driving at 60-80 kmh) lowering and rising the pantograph, as well as closing the MCB again afterwards. Anyone ever experienced this situation and can clear up what the hell happened?
Exactly not, the red arrows on HUD indicate it but I know that route well, especially in the 185.2 with freight, sanding, reducing traction, even to zero and applying a little bit of dynamic brake didn't help. As I already wrote, traction display and speedometer were going wild and the problem only resolved after lowering, re-raising the pantograph, as well as reconnecting the MCB. It was extremely weird. As you can see in the picture, I was at 0% inclination and already going quite fast (for a freight train anyway).
It might just be some weird bug, but i think devs can confirm there's no lightnings in TSW's weather system, let alone an implemented feature where if your loco gets struck by a lightning the dials go crazy.
