It will never be AP level because DTG/Rivet don’t have the time and money to do it. They have a business to run, they have other projects to get on with. But it is dismal that Rivet have left the 150 in the state it’s in. Just sorting out the sounds and physics would be enough for me.
I voted yes, but it's all been tried before and the one fix Rivet attempted nerfed the performance and did nothing to improve the sounds. Basically a lost cause at this point.
I find it a shame that Rivet has made a habit out of falling down when it comes to train setup, they’ve brought us some special stock such as the 385, Flirt & 150, but all 3 are quite poor. What I love about Rivet is all their routes have been quite different to what was being released by DTG at the time, and after 2+ years of no sprinter, they ventured to finally bring it into the fold. I think Rivet are definitely in a place where their budgets need to be rearranged, they’re venturing into 40+ mile routes, but the traction quality makes it hard to enjoy the mileage. More time needs to be put into research & development of their trains. Hopefully someone will pick the 150 up & do what Rivet either cannot or won’t. It’s a universal piece of rolling stock which is not only versatile with location, but also era. The crack team that did the 158 needs to get to work on a new 150, or at least the existing asset.
