Hi, I recently downloaded the route of AlanThomsonSim and around Crewe I am seeing large green towers (its a bit difficult to describe) which are definitely not supposed to be there. They appear both when in the editor and when in a scenario (as shown in screenshots) How do I fix this if anyone knows? Thanks
I do not have the route, but I can tell when this error happens: 1. Using GeoPcDx models of DLC you don't own (DRM fails to decrypt vertex data) or have deactivated in the DLC manager while still being in the asset folder 2. Using moving road traffic models that are not preloaded in the Route or ScenarioProperties.xml (see Fort Kent black walls, fixed by adding "RSDL\IslandLine" to the route dependencies.) Fly to these polygons and see if they're aligned to roads, then it's case #2. Best to contact ATS.
If the route uses 3DTrains\ScaleRoads then the solution is easy. All you need to do then is add the highlighted lines to RouteProperties.xml Fort Kent fixed RouteProperties.xml
You could go into World Editor and see if it is checked in the Object Set Filter. (Blue Cube with orange triangle) You could also just try the above fix, it won't hurt. If it doesn't change, then just remove it again. (Make a backup first)
Then it's a different issue. As I don't have the files to look into, can't help you further. Use ATS website and contact them.
Yeah good luck, and please report back. Interested in knowing what the issue is. (though technically it is a non-decrypted GeoPcDx or a damaged model file).
I've been pretty stupid here: turns out i'm missing the West Coast Mainline Overshap requirement - I thought I had it, but I only have West Coast Mainline north. I assume thats the reason, so ill pick up the Over Shap and see if that fixes it.
just picked it up today, still seeing the towers. tried reinstalling the route to no avail. any ideas what to do?~
I had a similar problem a few years ago with Doncaster Works My problem was due to the Kuju Tracks the route uses and I had downloaded a different set of tracks that overwritten the default track. Yours might be a problem with one of the Assets for the track? Have you run the route thru TS Tools? That will tell you if something missing.
The only different sets of tracks I have used is for the just trains western mainlines and south western expressways, so I doubt that would have any effect on it. TS Tools only came up with missing files from the .ap files being unpacked. I'll get in touch with ATS support and see what they say.
