The diesel gala has just got a little more interesting! https://live.dovetailgames.com/live/train-sim-world/articles/article/the-western-reign I wonder how this will be incorporated into service mode if you also have the class 33 as there are three train sets currently?
Official discussion page is here: https://forums.dovetailgames.com/th...86.598176567.1555363196-1815994682.1544735771 I kinda assume that the class 33, class 52, and class 47 are all drawn randomly just like the class 33 and 47 are right now. IMO they could add the 45 from NTP in the mix if they wanted to, but this is definitely a lot already. Looks like the purpose of WSR in the first place was to be a platform for a bunch of loco DLC, which would explain why they decided to make it at a lower price/quality. I have to say I'm somewhat excited to see what driving a diesel-hydraulic in TSW will be like- never got to try one in TS. Definitely a unique and interesting engine. Will definitely buy when it goes on sale maybe a couple months after release.
Yes, and will we get all 78 models with nameplates, or, just a randon few that were painted Maroon? And after looking at that Marketing screenshot I got all my reference books out, the Class 47 is 8ft 10 inches wide and the 52 is only 8ft 8 inches wide, but, it looks a hell of a lot wider in that picture, even though it might be standing a couple of feet further towards the camera.
Look at the picture, you silly boy, it looks 2 FEET wider that it should be!!!!!!!Look at the amount of space between the platform edge of the Class 47 and then the 52, miles difference.
And now being patronising with it... I presume you're referring to https://dtl-ghost-storage-bucket-prod.storage.googleapis.com/2019/042019/04/52_0006.jpg but then if you look at https://c8.alamy.com/comp/DBC099/cl...-lowestoft-station-suffolk-england-DBC099.jpg the 47 looks thinner than those coaches If you look at https://www.google.com/search?q=cla...Q&biw=1920&bih=969&dpr=1#imgrc=R7VIxBityizc8M: the body of the 52, especially in the bloated middle, looks much closer to the platform edge. One wonders at which point the measurements were taken
Also the bottom of the class 47 sits higher which might make it look further away from the platform. Personally it looks fine to me.
3d Artist: Takes onsite reference, original schematics, loads molding software sets width = "2.64m" Computer takes command sets width. Forum member :Dusts off photographic reference compares with screenshot, puts finger to side of temple in order to engage highly accurate sight measurement, begins to berate people how inaccurate the model is based off a screenshot with no field of view, or angle taken into account... brilliant
