The riviera line would be a very good route to add to TSW 4, considering that it has the sea wall that runs from dawlish to teignmouth and would be great scenery with the ocean along with the countrysides.

Stations: Exeter St Davids, Exeter St Thomas, Marsh Barton, Starcross, Dawlish Warren, Dawlish, Teignmouth, Newton Abbot, Torre, Torquay, and Paignton.

    Opened:
    1846
    Length: 28 miles
    Maximum Speed Limit: 100 mph

    TRAINS

GWR Class 150/2 'Sprinter' (PLEASE IMPROVE THE SOUNDS FOR IT THIS TIME)

    GWR Class 166 'Networker Turbo'

    GWR Class 43 + Mark 3 HST / Class 255 Castle

    Scenarios:

    Slow Sprinting: (Difficulty - 2)
Drive this Class 150 on a stopping service from Paignton to Exeter St Davids on a Sunday afternoon, no delays are expected on this journey today.

    Castle & IET: (Difficulty - 3)
Drive a Castle Class HST from Exeter St Davids to Newton Abbot then take over an IET to return back to Exeter. A storm is due any minute, so be sure to adapt your driving to the conditions to eliminate wheelslip as much as possible.

    Networker Substitution: (Difficulty - 1)
Drive this Class 166 from Exeter St Davids to Dawlish Warren and back, from where the line is closed whilst work is done to the sea wall.

    Summer Special: (Difficulty - 2)
Drive this summer special Castle Class HST service from Newton Abbot to Paignton, then change ends and head back to Exeter St Davids, be sure to sound the horn whilst going along the sea wall.

Great suggestion, I would like the Riviera Line in game whether it is modern day or not, nice rolling stock choice as well :)

One thing though... why not extend the Exeter end of the route to Exmouth, where services from Paignton terminate? If Exmouth gets included, you would have to reverse at Exeter St Davids as well :)

Here are some scenario ideas since you need help:

I love the Riviera and I personally would prefer this in BR era but I'm fine with modern and maybe we get the Dartmouth Steam Railway down to Kingswear. Let's say you've completed a long and hard timetable service and now you can just relax and look at the scenery or drive the Steam train up and down harsh inclines. If we have this in the 50's we can also have the Brixham branch.

It would be nice to see this route in the game, maybe with a GWR steam loco for heritage services and Castle HST sets for regular services. Since the 800s, 150s and 166s are already in the game it wouldn't be too difficult to redevelop them for this route?

For this line extend to Exmouth on the Avocet Line would be amazing. Many fond memories of that line.

I don't see why they couldn't do both a 1950's version and a modern day version, they did it for TS Classic. Would be pretty cool to have one route released in two separate eras to compare what changed over the years :) Definitely would love to see this route set in GWR/BR era though. It's one of my favourites in TS Classic and seeing it get a TSW upgrade would be amazing!

The only challenge is scenery because advances over time to technology and new buildings.
    Stuff like that.
But still would be nice with both

I'd love the Riviera line and it would be great in any era but my preference would be 80s. Yes predictable but I just think there was so much variety with anything from 1st gen DMUs to Peaks, Hoovers, Duffs, HSTs and many things in between. Like I say such a stunning line in any era though so brilliant suggestion mate!

Riviera line would be fantastic and was also a favourite of mine in TSC. Hopefully DTG can get permission to make another GWR branded route, as from what I have heard they were only able to license that brand for the one-off Great Western Express.

Yeah, but FirstGroup (who owns GWR) are not exactly forthcoming with giving out licences.

Southern is owned by Govia Thameslink Railway so a whole different board game.

Different companies can request different arrangements when it comes to licensing. GWR was likely a one-off or Rivet could have used it for their West Cornwall Local route. Hopefully something else can be arranged as I would really like to see the Riviera line with GWR trains.
