is this route still in the pipe line as a Aussie from Sydney ive been on this route many times over on EPT and Intercity if so i would love to showcase it on my you tube channel

 

I am wondering. Does this route go all the way into Sydney or only as far as Hornsby? If you do plan to head south, please also include the North Shore line. I know it sounds like I'm begging but I have tried building the North Shore line in the Microsoft Train Simulator route Coals to Newcastle 'This covers your route but from Sydney to Newcastle and Taree'. Overall, I had failed to build the North Shore line in the route, just not good enough at route building but it doesn't mean to say that I won't give up trying LOL

I would also like to say please include the Newcastle heavy rail corridor 'Hamilton, Wickham, Civic and Newcastle' and not the Newcastle Interchange and light rail. It just looks ugly it wouldn't be worth running any trains into Newcastle Interchange, to me the line is ruined.

 

I know it might seem a bit early for scenario planning, but a good railfan one would be one set at Wondabyne.

I actually went there last year to scope out the area - It was nice and relaxing.

That sounds great, It's a long way from finished but I'll let you know when it nears completion.

Stage 1 was initially planned as Gosford-Hornsby but I got bored with completing scenery along the route so I extended the track from Hornsby-Gordon. Whether I go any further I still don't know as I really need to concentrate my efforts into completing the initial stage 1 plans.Going further into the city creates more headaches such as underground stations and also the Harbour bridge.
It's a massive route to complete solo and I just haven't had the time, effort or enthusiasm to complete any more as I work a lot of shift work.
Your Aussie rolling stock though excites me and may just be the push I need to make a little more effort.

It's on hold for now as I'm investing my spare time back into Trainz to finish my Australian routes.

 

Hi, I have very recently gotten into TSC and would love to help with this project. The intercity lines are by far my favourite in NSW, and I live very close by to the Newcastle Interchange line. I would be more than happy to learn how to build the route in TSC, just need to figure out where to start

 

Just an update - I won't be continuing with this project so it's been cancelled.
A few reasons for this-
Lack of time and passion
I also didn't expect to be working on the route solo for this long with offers of help which didn't eventuate

Sharpey. So sorry you have had to do this all by yourself. I live in the uk but was really looking forward to this having travelled on the line when visiting family. Can you not reach out to DTG as the route would be worth paying for and many on here want an Aussie route., do understand though.

 

All good mate it is what it is.
I already reached out to Dtg and they told me there not interested, I suggested they could start with an XPT seeing we already have the HST 125 but it fell on deaf ears.

That’s a very disappointing attitude from DTG especially at Matt P has lived for a time in Sydney. I would have thought he would have jumped at the chance to help which does surprise me. Have you spoken to the Australian ambassadors of the game for possible help?

 

DTG won't be making any more DLC for TS, no matter what country it is.

 

Nah, I've already tried that and it was to difficult to share. I've used a lot of different assets from providers and they were unable to load the route correctly or with loading errors. We spent most of the day trying to get it working which I don't feel like doing again. Prob easier if they started their own.

If only TSC had it's own TransDEM software like Trainz. It would certainly make route building for TSC so much easier saving a lot time laying track and roads as you can use gps vector data. I think I showed you before?! Can't remember..
