Xbox Beware There Is No Game Pass Version Of Tsw4

It does not disappear. You will still have it installed, but you won't be able to play it. If you attempt to start it, you will get a prompt that says you must own the title to play it.

 

If the achievements DID work then DTG would get $ from me because I'd finish all the achievements for what I have, buy another DLC and finish all the achievements for that and so on.

But because ~30% of the time I try to finish one it's just not possible (red light bugs, missing route items, etc) then I'm not getting TSW4 or further DLC for TSW3, especially since each route (on Xbox, don't know if the same on steam) costs the same as a full game.

 

You are exaggerating with 30%, right?


There are one TSW2 achievement and two TSW3 achievements that cannot be unlocked.
If you only have TSW3 and not TSW2, you might have 5 achievements that cannot be unlocked in TSW3. But that's still way off your claim of 30%.

 

Well, looks like I’m giving Tram Sim a few playthroughs then. Among other games that I have already bought and installed.

 

No it won't! It will stay installed until you manually remove it but if you don't own it you'll get a message on screen telling you as such so it'll be unplayable

 

No worries! I brought TSW 3 earlier today.

 

Last night I picked up Train Sim World 3 Deluxe Edition and Loco Bundle for £11.99 which I thought a pretty good price

I've never been one for picking up DLC on Xbox simply because with only a 10% gamepass discount it was always too expensive.

Hopefully now will be able to see similar discounts to PSN and Steam

 

£7.99 for the deluxe version of TSW3 will see me good until TSW4 gets a massive discount.

 

I also considered the £7.99 deal but when I realised the extra three loco's were only an additional £4 I have thought why not?

TSW3 went straight to gamepass on release.

 

Bear in mind that it is Microsoft's decision whether something is allowed to be added to GamePass, so it's possible that DTG asked for it but were turned down - in which case there's nothing DTG can of course do about that. DTG meanwhile were pretty clear that TSW4 was not coming to GamePass.

 

Going by that logic, TSW wouldn't be available on Xbox if it was that much of a "junk game".

 

If Microsoft refused 4 on Gamepass it's down to the fact that 2 & 3 have broken achievements that DTG haven't fixed and apparently the rules for gamepass dictate that all achievements have to work!

 

I am willing to bet that this decision was DTG and DTG alone.
And this is probably why.

If you recall, Activision were none too keen to join GamePass.

 

Wouldn't the same apply even anyway.

If Microsoft refuse on gamepass because of broken achievements, surely it'd work the same for any game purchasable on their platform.

Not really. Gamepass is a flagship subscription service whereas stopping a game selling in the normal store for any reason would end up losing players on that platform. There have been games in store that don't even work but have never been removed from sale!

I bought TSW2, 3 and 4 bc I love trains and this is really the only viable train sim on console
The biggest perk of game pass for me was being able to play TSW3 anywhere I had internet connection. A train sim game is great for cloud streaming.
I was away from home this past week and it was a real bummer I couldnt stream TSW4 on my tablet

 

You can stream any game you own on Xbox to any Tablet, Phone or Windows PC.

It may be hard to tell, but this is me streaming TSW4 from my console to my iPad and playing it with an Xbox controller connected to the iPad. In the picture it’s just local in my home, but as long as you have decent internet, and your console set up correctly, you can play anywhere. Just Google something like “Xbox remote play my games anywhere”
