Add more to the service timetables of each core route with these Steam exclusive Expansion Bundles. Out now are a selection of Expansion Bundles featuring Train Sim World Compatible Add-ons that layer into each of the new Train Sim World 4 routes. This expands the number of playable and AI timetabled services, giving a more diverse choice of trains to drive and see throughout the routes, making for a more involved and busy experience. to take advantage of all the new people buying into TSW4 for the first time. Give them a catch-up mechanism. If you own everything it isn't great value, but if you are just starting out it is nice.
Even for me who has most of the DLC, this is good. As it works as a 'Complete my Collection' package. I could get the Santa Fe F7 and the SD70 for a little over the price of just one of them. Only a few DLC left to get, but they are from Skyhook and Rivet so no hurry,
I own all dlcs currently. First i thought its a gameplay pack, which is adding a lot of new services in the timetable. So i guess for owners of all content this new pack isnt any use? Anyway currently on riesa dresden no substitution happened.was it because this bundle? Just the locos from the route appeared.
Only a handful of the items are missing from my collection anyway, mainly the Luzern to Sursee route but that is likely to get an equal discount in one of the forthcoming Steam sales. Otherwise the DB 187 which I believe is best avoided, the F7 reskin pack and the SD70 neither of which is particularly going to add to the experience. At this point would rather drop some money fleshing out my TSC collection, TBH and supporting some of the independent developers in the process.
Just tried a scenario and training and neither time when going thru from 1-7 on the throttle, it does not work. Tried a cold start, that does not work either. I’ve tried everything. It’s the only thing that does not work. The 158 and the metro cammel work, but the 150 just does not wanna know.
Is it worth spending $34 for Midland Main Line plus the 700? Or should I be waiting for a deeper sale? This is the only bundle that might be useful to me.
You left a door open somewhere most likely. It gives you a traction lock if any door is open, including the one you open to get inside.
Ah yes, adding a bundle to sell more DLC, instead of just adding freight by default for Antelope Valley with bonus subs from existing DLC.... DTG's bean counters.
Unfortunately i have to agree with this. Where is the vision here? I thought dtg sneaks some releases of additional service dlcs, but the title was misleading. Since i own all dlcs, i would purchais something which i have already.
And just by the way "about the money:" Substitution on TSW4 is still broken, for example riesa dresden. I have the 187 aleady, but nothing spawns except the 146, 143, 185.5 & vectron. (Routes base dlcs) So you guys are taking money again from players, for something which isnt working at all? Worse than that, in tsw3 i didnt have problems with substitution of locomotives & dlcs.
Maybe it would be a good idea at looking to bundle some of the various older loco DLCs together for certain routes? For instance, the Class 33 and Class 52 could be bundled together as a West Somerset Diesels Pack, and the Class 20 and Class 31 as a Tees Valley Freight Pack, similar to the BR Heavy Freight Pack we already have for Northern Trans-Pennine. It would both make these extras more affordable and simplify the DLC structure, making it less confronting and confusing for new players trying to figure out what loco DLCs match to which routes.
I guess it depends whether you’re on console or PC. On steam you’ll probably find steeper sales than that at some point.
For sure. And the irony is that DTG's excuse for not adding default freight to AVL was that most everyone already owns the required routes. Clearly " everyone " is defined differently by DTG than the dictionary. They must have known that there are actually plenty of people who don't have the necessary freight layers. An exceptional act of dissembling if ever there was one.
Shock horror...DTG wanting to make some money. I appreciate these kind of deals. Just really need these offers on console as well. (I appreciate its not as easy to do on those platforms)
This offer is shocking because DTG still has a lot of work to do to solve the current issues. There product has not been sufficiently tested before sale Now they just want to make more money It's incredible, and shocking.....
I can understand this from the point of view to enhance the experience with the 3 new TSW4 routes (Vorarlberg, ECML and Antelope Valley) + the upgraded DRA (Dresden-Riesa) route, with additional layers. Although, the german expansion bundle does not include all of the packs which give layers to DRA, missing Hauptstrecke Hamburg-Lübeck for BR 112.1 DB or Rapid Transit and the DB BR 182 DLC for the DB BR 182 layer and the coming Vectron DLC (which may will be in but just to say). But I appreciate your effort to offer some DLCs for a discounted price bundled together. However, I don't understand that DTG does not offer complete regional bundles (maybe even not only countrywise) to enhance the overall TSW experience for new players (DLCs upgraded to TSW4 standards and/or with layers to the new content or not and just being plain compatible). For example, if I would want to purchase all german routes, but refuse because it would literally cost me a month loan or more and better go with two or three DLCs I like, it would give an attraction to potential costumers to offer all of these routes in a bundle with a big loyal discount (once they invest and give good faith in your products so hard). Would be a way for many people to obtain more DLCs from you rather than choosing only a few and leave the rest. I mean in the end, it's you who profit the most from such an idea.
I actually really like this, the savings are quite substantial! I‘ve been suggesting bundles to make entry into the franchise easier for new players for a while, and it’s good to see that is the case on PC now at least
Exactly. It's a sale bundle for DLCs which provide layers to the new 3 routes + upgraded Dresden-Riesa. If you have them all already, the expansion packs make no sense for you. You shall be awarded by DTG.
You might can get a deducted price of the bundle for the content you already own in it like said here: Depends on the publisher and the type of bundle if you can do so.
Well upgrading all dlc to tsw4 standards is a lot of work. It's not just a simple copy paste. Also nobody wants to pay to get tsw4 upgrades for every single compatible route
... and work is something DTG don't like apparently, seeing their history of not fixing bugs that could be done in a matter of minutes or hours. Why do you always try to act as a spokesperson for DTG?
I don't know which wording of mine you refer to exactly, but I didn't say anything about that all. I thin you must have misunderstood what I said. I meant that I would like to have bundles with all regional routes which are compatible with TSW4, independent of whether they provide layers to the new or upgraded routes or not. I didn't said anything about upgrading the old routes to TSW4 standards here.
Hmmm, the Luzern route only came out in September, Vern, probably won't see any major discount offered for several months. I've just got it this weekend in the European Expansion bundle for £10-ish, 48% off currently. I haven't driven/walked the entire route yet, but, it's Swiss and along with the Austrian Voralbahn route is adding to our stable of European layouts. Cheerz. Steve.
Same, the only issues I've had is when I've spawned two sets and coupled them together and tried to run them, the brakes don't seem to release. Aside from that it's been fault free.
