I've been dealing with this issue for quite a while ever since I got my hands on this poor excuse for an EMD F3 dlc, but decided to try and figure out what the hell could possibly be causing this issue... by asking strangers who play the same game as me on the internet. Let me provide context, you know the important stuff first before I go into further detail:

    1. The Issue: Every boxcar except the CGW Boxcar looks like a flat pancake dust from a distance from the boxcars.
    2. DLC: Union Pacific EMD F3 DLC by DTM.
    3. When Issue Occurred: When I first got this dlc.
    4. How long have I been having the issue?: Literally ever since I bought, installed, and used the rollingstock in this dlc.

Every Boxcar except for the CGW Boxcar looks like this from a distance. If you can’t see the problem, they look like they were flattened in a garbage compactor to the point they’re perfectly flat. It’s kind of hard to describe, but they just look like rectangular pancakes from a certain distance. Any F3 Boxcar that’s not the CGW boxcar looks like this from a distance and it’s annoying and disturbing to look at.

    Here’s a slightly better view:

Now, I'm not entirely sure if anyone else but me is having this problem, but I wouldn't be surprised if there were a few poor bastards out there who were having this issue and either managed to fix it or are still stuck with it and don't post this issue in the DTG forums for whatever reason, but I've been having this issue since I bought and used the rollingstock featured in this dlc. Now, the only F3 boxcar not doing this is the CGW boxcar, which is on the left. The Cabeese, F3 Units and other rollingstock aren't suffering from this issue, only the non-CGW boxcars are suffering from this issue.

Now, I gotta ask, is there something that might be causing this? I have a new PC, but this was happening on my old PC as well, so I don't think it's on my end, but any help is appreciated and valued. Thanks in advance.

It's nothing to do with your system, it's the LODs of the boxcars. Same here. It's... DTM ;)

You're still my hero but you'd look like a squashed bug from that distance. We are only creating illusions and we only have to delude ourselves or am I being too simplistic, if I am I shall play the age card........

Oh, while I'm at it, is there any specific reason that the Western Pacific Boxcar is a Western Pacific Caboose instead? I placed it down thinking it was a boxcar and it was a WP Caboose, so I'm not sure if this was intentional or an actual bug.

This is an issue that happens with cars randomly. Similar to (some) trees, distant objects have a different model which is way cheaper to render. (These days it could be automatically created but anyway.)
Just for example's sake, the old ACF coach used on some US routes has a similar issue. I also have an old screenshot where one coach is invisible - unfortunately it's in a position easy to see. Of course the ACF is like 15 years old, but hey.
Still a bug with the asset, just thought it can be interesting.
