Is there a reason why the new route monitor is disabled in passenger mode? This is exactly what would make a significant contribution to route knowledge and reduces reality here. Hence my request to DTG to activate this feature!

Because you're a passenger, not the driver

To be honest, route knowledge is about more than signal location, experience gives you braking points, line speeds, junctions and anything else that will allow you to drive your train safely and to time. It’s a pity that route learning couldn’t be included somehow so that you can drive without the HUD although, if you drive a route enough you will get the same knowledge.

As you guys know, it is common practice in Germany that every train driver has to pass a route certificate on every route he drives. This means that he rides in the driver's cab until he is sure that he can complete the route alone. He not only looks at the many beautiful and colorful signals, but also always keeps an eye on the German Ebula system. Exactly what the new route monitor also shows in simplified form. However, it is disabled.

Of course you can hide it in passenger mode but why is it shown at all if it's deactivated anyway? It's a shame to include a new feature but leave it disabled. That does not make sense.

What new screen you actually mean? And in which train? Do you mean the EbuLa screen in the Vectron?

Simply put the track monitor literally only works if you are in command of a train. If you are a passenger you are not, and it therefore doesn't work and is hidden.
