Play environment PC Steam Timetable mode Class 700 Departs from garage 01:14 The preceding train is blocked and cannot proceed. In timetable mode, these two trains with the same time are unnecessary. There is no fast-forward function, so it takes up a lot of time. Please make a proper rudimentary mode. If you can't fix it, reduce the number from the beginning.
Because there is a small group of people (About 5-10) that moan non stop if a route doesn't have BR diesel traction on it. You'll see them pop up in almost any suggestion thread for modern stuff saying "This would be better in BR Blue/Br Green era with some thrash". Almost without fail. Fact is, people that like the modern traction, are just playing them. Clearly they sell well, as DTG keep making them. If they didn't, they wouldn't be. Fact is the majority of the player base don't post, or even read these forums. The majority of people that are just casually playing the game and aren't die hard longtime rail fans are almost certainly going to prefer the trains they can actually see in their everyday lives.
TSW4 ECML 6E82 - Class 66 - Bug or feature? TPWS goes off when passing yellow. If wait to turn green then does not. Please see screen cast - also.... is it acceptable to link to a YouTube video (on your own channel) when raising a support ticket if it shows the problem far better than one or more screen shots?
On PC: Class 158/0 EMT (MML) sound is super dramatic when going under bridges and through tunnels - gets much louder than you would expect - especially for under bridges.
Yeah, that looks like a bug to me. Possibly the TSS grid at this signal is linked to the wrong signal.
Yes, I also noticed that. Thought maybe it was a one off issue but still the same after restart. First one I tried on ECML too, my luck
Still unable to unlock mastery on ECML. Met the requirements of Tier 2, but it’s not recognising that I’ve done so. No flyovers for me
PS5 player. I wish there was a way to disable some of the layers around Doncaster. The game lags like crazy on the last couple of miles into the station. It's gotten really unstable now too. Both of my last attempts to run into Doncaster have ended in a crash, both of which occurred on the final approach to the station, which is wonderful... First occasion was a journey mode service, 1D15 Kings Cross to Leeds, part of the "Azuming Around" chapter. Second time was on 1S04, 0707 Kings Cross to Edinburgh. Month was October. Weather was dynamic and set to clear, but by Doncaster it was overcast and pouring with rain.
Mastery has never worked properly in my entire time with TSW. I think DTG should just abandon it at this point, as it's clear they have no real interest in fixing it and it hasn't worked properly for years.
There is a note from Alex in the Announcements that they are aware of the Mastery issues and a fix is in testing.
Should departure boards for 'Calling at' show the actual station you are at? Not been to an actual station in a while, so not sure!
They usually don't, You wouldn't need to know the next train at that platform calls at.... that platform. Because that's already a given.
PC Steam Edition, 13,700KF, RX6800 not XT, mouse and keyboard. Hi, I just tried the new patch for TSW4 and was hoping the bridges north of Grantham would have been fixed, but there are still holes in the map on the second bridge that you fall through and can't get out when your walking it. Specifically, the gravel texture that fills the area between the 2 tracks are polygons that, I guess, are not marked as solid surfaces, so you still just fall through them get stuck outside the fence and you have to walk north about a mile before you find another station, where there's another hole in the fence, so you can get back in to the tracks and walk back to the station. Please fix this. Thanks.
I believe that parts of the ECML patch that was announced has been held back for further work before being released DTG Jamie can you concur?
PC Steam Edition, 13,700KF, RX6800 not XT, mouse and keyboard. I tried to ride the train standing up to see if there still issues with getting yanked out of the train when passing the bridge at signal P583 and unfortunately, I still get yanked out of the Azuma and the Flying Scotsman if I'm standing in the train when it reaches this bridge. Thanks for your help.
Please go back and check the bridges to make sure the polygons are solid. Now that I'm looking, there are a number of them that aren't solid and should be.
There is missing overhead wire assets just north of Newark, after the flat crossing, and on PS5, livery designer 801 coaches don’t load up
PC Player through Steam 2E01 the 05:55 Nottingham to Peterborough Class 158 DMU Did not see any other trains whatsoever, nothing, not even waiting in start/end stations.
PC Steam edition. Not sure if someone was being funny but the PIS board for the 08:05 Thameslink service to KGS has Stevenage written as Steeeeeeeevenage, Also Gangways and cables are still not connected between the Class 801 coaches which funnily enough applies to the Class 395s as well. As a general piece of feedback regarding DTGs development, why aren't rolling stock for each addon in their own separate .pak file? Surely it would make updating them far easier than repacking an entire route with all assets to make a simple adjustment to the train included?
Bugs/ issues I have found: - you can’t turn the middle tail lights off if in a 10 car set (801), they should be set off when starting a service. - all the AI sounds like it’s departing on diesel engines. - the 1BXX services to Lincoln appear to terminate at Newark north gate and never go round the curve. (When completing a service to Newark, and continuing in to free roam it’ll give you permission to driving it back towards London instead off kicking you out like it should.
801 feedback firstly it’s too quiet secondly I can’t use the door controls behind the drivers seat in either cab if I use the controls at a door I have to set the key to buzzer only to close them which also closes local door.
DTG have said the drivers they have giving feedback have said the traction audio is the right volume now. It isn't a loud train in the cab, it's well sound proofed.
The nearest passenger door is at the opposite end of a 26-metre carriage, and beyond at least two reasonably substantial doors on the internal path, the nearer of which is almost certainly soundproofed to avoid distractions from the passenger cabin. Sounds from that vicinity are simply not going to be very audible from the cab.
Essentially it’s just about the worst train they could have chosen for those who like a bit of aural stimulation while driving.
In case anyone is still interested, I made a video tutorial about the signalling for temporary speed restrictions (TSR), including emergency speed restrictions (ESR) and blanket speed restrictions (based on Rail Safety and Standards Board Ltd., GERM8000-traindriver Iss 12.1, November 2022 RS521 Iss 6, Signals, Handsignals, Indicators and Signs, Dec 2020, sections 8 and 5.15 GERT8000/SP, Iss 6, Speeds, Dec 2021, sections 3 and 4). Signals of this kind can be found in the "Hot Seat" scenario. I know, the video is lengthy as usual, but you can jump to the tutorial bit easily: Temporary speed restrictions If you spot any errors or inconsistencies or have any additional information, please don't hesitate to tell me! (I hope it is okay to post it here. If not, feel free to move or delete the post.)
Not sure if it’s been mentioned but the Azuma coach letters on the external PIS are wrong. I’m at the front of a 9 car and the external display is saying Coach A, B, C, D, E, F etc. This is 10 car numbering. The 9 cars use a separate system. Also even on a 5 car First doesn’t use A and B. It’s M, L , E, D. It’s M,L,K (K being the composite coach - half first, half standard) J, H, G, C, B, A. Also 9 cars typically run rear pantograph, not front. I work on these trains. They’re almost completely spot on except a few little important details. Edit. I’ve just done the Azuma training module at the training centre. The voiceover/text has just claimed that the 801 operates at 124 miles per hour. Eh? What? For real? Line speed permitting they run at 125mph. Either it’s been a typo on the script or someone hasn’t done their research!
The speed set, which due to a couple of incidents is now permanently on at my TOC (and I believe all others with the 80xs), means that although line speed is 125 the 80xs only go to 124.xx mph and now don't actually reach 125 in service. I believe it is in the upper decimal range and would be rounded up to 125 usually for things like this but in reality all they can manage in day to day service is 124 mph. Nice touch and good knowledge from whoever made the tutorial, I may go and admire their work now!
And again, for what it is worth, I made a video tutorial about the signalling for the AC electrification, including neutral section sign, coasting signs and the signage for the Automatic Power Changeover (APCo) and Manual Power Changeover (MPCo) on the ECML (based on Rail Safety and Standards Board Ltd., GERM8000-traindriver Iss 12.1, November 2022 RS521 Iss 6, Signals, Handsignals, Indicators and Signs, Dec 2020, sections 9 GERT8000/AC, Iss 7, AC electrified lines, Dec 2021, sections 14 to 16, 18 and the London North Eastern Route Sectional Appendix, Module LN1, September 2023, p. 7C, 36C). I know, the video is lengthy as usual, but you can jump to the tutorial bits easily: Neutral section signs and Automatic Power Control (APC) Coasting signs Automatic Power Changeover (APCo) signage Manual Power Changeover (MPCo) signage If you spot any errors or inconsistencies or have any additional information, please don't hesitate to tell me! I also caught on video the aforementioned junction signal clearing from dark with a junction indicator to yellow with the junction indicator on approach. (I hope it is okay to post it here. If not, feel free to move or delete the post.)
PS5 here. Installed the update this morning, three times in the space of a few minutes I've loaded in on foot in Doncaster and within a minute the game crashes. I tested different times of day and different months for timetable variety. The game experiences lag or brief freezes every few seconds until eventually crashing out altogether, so the route is now completely unplayable.
Today, I really wanted to play the East Coast Mainline, however, on all four attempts to load up a service the game crashed within five minutes. This happened both in a Class 66 and Class 800 and all four services were in complete different locations. This has happened many times before on this route but never this consistently. This was played on PS4.
Im on PS5 too. Holding off playing TSW4 until they sort the issues with the recent patch. Hope there's a fix today.
what a joke this is totally unacceptable I have try both the Full and the Reduce version and both crash Hi Just had a update on the ECML for the PS5 and every time when I load In the game it now Crashes I tried with the reduce and the same thing happens I normally use the full version for the PS5 it's unplayable it freezes and then crashes this is not Just playstation Xbox and pc this need's to be fixed this is a major problem iv done two tickets now and sent Alex and Mat a message as well what a joke my my plan is that we all boycott TSW 4 for two months over December and January this will show that we are not Happy who's with me
