With all of the editing features in TSW4, are there any hobbyist developers I should be checking out? Where is the best content? (The Scenario Planner interface is a mess.)
Looks like there’s been very little PC editor content produced thus far. I can’t complain since I’m only a consumer, but I do wish there were a central repository for this stuff. Is Steam Workshop a realistic option?
Reason there io editor content is because you can't cook yet which mean you can't copy and paste the paks files
there is a workaround though https://forums.dovetailgames.com/th...-and-setup-automated-build-environment.75459/
there is a team of german modders who already made great stuff like the ICE 1 enhancement pack, so far I know some of the following trains are in the works: ICE 3 Velaro D, ICE 2, class 152, Desiro HC, Intercity control car, Stadler FLIRT and some more, theres also been the Vectron but DTG had the same idea...
The editor is not really in a very useable state and still lacks basic documentation. Don't expect too much of anything anytime soon.
The scenario editor is actually very good. You can create customized timetables and formations and, basically, send services on every part of any route. The issues, at the moment, is that you cannot import customized liveries from the game now export finish shed scenarios to the game easily. That will change in due course so there is no harm in learning the 'tools' beforehand. David.
The new scenario editor is a lot of fun. For something so simple it’s really changed my outlook on the game. I rarely play service mode now because of it.
