Is there any route which has the route between Stoke and Manchester Piccadilly? (through Macclesfield, Stockport etc.). If no, is there one planned?
https://alanthomsonsim.com/downloads/west-coast-mainline-midlands-and-northwest-aka-missing-link/ You will need a membership to this site in order to get access to this route as well as a lot of other requirements.
Yea, I was wondering whether there was a route / planned route that would connect this missing section from Manchester Piccadilly down to Stoke and Stafford at the bottom. Looking on the Alan Thomson Website, it doesn't appear that it's planned for this route despite the track layout for Piccadilly being there.
The track from Oxford Road goes to Stockport and Hazel Grove on the Just Trains MML/Hope Valley route.
Yea, was looking for the whole connection though so a euston - piccadilly run is possible. Unfortunate if there isn't one but maybe in time someone will make it
Missing link from ATS is fantastic but does not go to man pic, just as far as Kidsgrove before it branches off & heads to Crewe, if you do not have Missing link I would highly recommend it (its my favourite route) but if you do not have any of the requirements you had better lube up your wallet!
I would advise against anyone purchasing the Missing Link (as well as other products) from ATS right now - there are a whole plethora of issues since the latest ATS Launcher was released, with a lot of people unable to access the content they've purchased. The devs are aware of this and presumably working on a solution, but there's been radio silence from them via Email for a couple of weeks now. This has been my experience as well as that of others - see the recent reviews on the Missing Link page if you want some more info. I agree with the above though - the Missing Link is one of the best addons out there, and allows for a (nearly) continuous run from Euston to Glasgow!
I was driving on it on the image I sent - I agree it is a great route, would be nice to have the section up to Manchester though
Ah i see Yes it would be great if it was extended, I'm sure its been mentioned on stream but i can't remember if they said its a possibility or its a stretch too far as missing link is already rather large.
Yea - what the website says is conflicting as well, it says in the description "The overall route is proposed to connect Rugby, Preston, Liverpool and Manchester" yet the only phase left to be released merges the route with the WCML South. No mention of Manchester there
