Hi Just had a update on the ECML for the PS5 and every time when I load In the game it now Crashes I tried with the reduce and the same thing happens I normally the full version for the PS5

may I add the sound's need looking at the motor sound needs looking into for the passengers because you can hear the motors in the coaches
PS5 speaker needs to be turn up a bit more to quiet

30 Minutes of Sights & Sounds LNER Azuma Class 800, Class 801 this is from You tube

Things that DGT need to do in the New Year are
to extended the ECML stage on extended from Doncaster to Leeds for the northern end add Wakefield and Leeds and for the southern end of the ECML add Kings Cross to stevenage with all the
    Huntingdon

    St Neots

    Sandy

    Biggleswade

    Arlesey

    Cambridge line
    to Cambridge

    Hitchin

    Stevenage

    Hertford Loop Line

    Knebworth

    Welwyn North

    Welwyn Garden City

    Hatfield

    Welham Green

    Brookmans Park

    Potters Bar

    Hadley Wood

    New Barnet

    Oakleigh Park

    New Southgate

    Hertford Loop Line

    Alexandra Palace

    Hornsey

    Harringay

    Gospel Oak to Barking line

    Finsbury Park

    Northern City Line
    to Moorgate

    North London Line

    High Speed 1

    Thameslink
    via London St Pancras

    London King's Cross
add all this in to give the player some running time with the class 700 and add the 800/1/2
and at Leeds add the class 158 and the 150 and later add the York to Edinburgh Waverley longer routes give play more playing time than shorter route
or my idea is have a route add on DLC for the ECML and for other Route's as well

Asking for a bit much there aren't you?

I'm going to disappoint you here, but the ECML will not be extended, especially not down to London.

I know that the motors are very wrong.
You typed it out in your first message that ''you can hear the motors in the coaches'' which to me should mean that you shouldn't be able to hear the motors at all in coaches (which it shouldn't be as you can hear them clearly).

Route extensions in TSW are really not possible to do. Both DTG and JustTrains have said this. People have this expectation because Train Sim Classic did it, but the fact of it is that ran on a different engine and Unreal just doesn't work like that.

People might point at the fact that Riesa-Dresden and Southeastern Highspeed both got extended. While I can't speak for Dresden, I know that Southeastern was the first route released that had some track ends where the 'edge of represented area' barriers were absent and you could ride an AI train right to the point of it vanishing, and coincidentally the line to Dartford was one which did. It might be a long shot but it makes me believe that extending SEHS was always the plan, that they knew it would be a large project so they broke it up into two blocks. They released it on TSW2 first to get the North Kent and Chatham lines out along with the north half of HS1, then with the development of TSW3 they were able to do the extra work of the Dartford extension, the Ashford extension and the overall scenery improvements. Effectively the TSW2 version was a beta, an incomplete model.

This means that they kept the raw files of the route open to be modified. But the key thing is that the extension was planned from the beginning. I do remember when Rush Hour released that the extra branch line on Dresden was always supposed to be featured but wasn't on release, it was patched in a couple months later so again, it was already planned and likely was simply cut at first to fit time constraints. The end result that both cases teach us: Either an extension is planned from the beginning, or it simply cannot and will not happen.

That being said, we could see Kings Cross to Peterborough, Doncaster to Leeds or any of the other offshooting lines one day. But they will be separate releases, not additions to the ECML stretch we already have.

Final note, perhaps this is wild speculation but seeing as DTG themselves said that the code for this route is simply ECML instead of something relating to the cities themselves, it gives me the impression that they're not planning to do any further stretches of the ECML for quite some time. If I had to guess what their next step with the ECML will be, I believe it will be a loco pack for either the 800 or the 91. In the case of the 800 it was the one they wanted to do in the first place, they just didn't have one available for sound recordings at the time. In the case of the 91s, right since the TSW4 reveal stream it's been asked for pretty much everywhere. Asides from the ECML itself it might be the single most requested addon TSW has ever seen, there is no way that DTG can ignore that level of demand.

The corporate mindset my friend. Money earning content > free patches. It's not as heartless as it sounds, I'm not saying that DTG literally only cares about money and doesn't care if their products are broken, but likewise they are a company and they need to have an income. There's a balance of resources between a bug fix and revenue generating work, and naturally as a company revenue comes at high priority. I'm not saying this is how it should be, I'm saying this is how it is.

That being said, right now near enough the entire game is completely unplayable on PS5, it crashes as soon as any timetable service or free roam course begins. So I'm saying hello right alongside those bugs.

Yes I totally Agree with you not giving what the players want i would rather if DGT upgrade to UE5 and have a longer routes I think DGT needs to start listing to there players

number of thinks needs fixing are bugs
sound to be the right one for the trains
    Making longer routes
I think DGT needs to go back to Basic and start again
like when you make a route add 3 new Train's for that route
I love this game but it's staring to feel like an Ea Fc game full of bugs
I rather that DGT take it's time to make a game I rather it take's two year's to make as long as get good Quilty

    UE5 wont solve any problems.

Longer routes are harder to make and not worth the investment.

Once again depends on the route being made. If it’s a highly requested route the investment will almost certainly pay off. If DTG decided to make the East/West Coast Mainline South, the investment will almost certainly pay off because it is highly requested. If it’s some random long route it might not

I think on the ECML you can get quite far away from Doncaster, no idea for pboro tho. But yea DTG probably won’t extend it, maybe release the ECML separately

What also matters is the amount of time and resources get devoted to a map. Matt actually addressed this during his charity livestream for a section I was tuned in for, he mentioned that there was theoretically no limit to how big routes could be now in TSW and that's been the case since TSW3. He outright said that if they wanted to they could have made the entire ECML end to end, perhaps even a vast ECML network akin to the one featured in Trainz back in 2010. The problem with it is that the sheer volume of time and resources it would require would mean that TSW would effectively be in a content drought for about two years as all of the company's resources would be devoted to it, and the end product would end up costing in excess of £250 to viably fund the amount that was poured into it. And that price tag is only assuming that the route would sell as much as an average route already does, which at that price tag it obviously never in a million years would even come close.

The only reason we get proper long routes like the 100+ miles of German route in TSW3 or the 85 mile ECML stretch in TSW4 is because the development of those routes is probably folded into the budget of the development of the games themselves. I could be wrong about that bit though.

This is going off if DTG fully devote every single developer to the ECML, which once again is unlikely. If DTG were doing something the scale of that size which is unlikely they would develop over long periods. And to be fair I would rather routes were developed over longer periods of time, as a lot of the time routes are rushed anyways. A 393 mile route is obviously pushing the limits. But there’s no reason why a 100 mile route should be in the realm of possibility for DTG. But I don’t think route length is the main issue. But then again the argument of long routes being unprofitable isn’t completely true as there are some routes (within the 70-100 mile range) that I wouldn’t expect DTG to struggle with at this point

70 to 100 is more feasible. I'd make a guess and say that they were originally put off it because the TSW3 German one didn't perform very well, but now with ECML having taken the platform by storm they might change their view on that. Personally I'd love to see the average length raised to that, it would open up so many new possibilities. Settle & Carlisle anyone?

Ngl my one issue with the S&C on TSC was that its end point (Settle) was just a little rural station. I don't mind that in most cases such as with St Austell in WCL, but after a massive 80+ mile journey it feels quite anticlimactic. Extending it to Skipton as they did in Trainz would be brilliant, or at least to Hellifield where a lot of footage was recorded of the final steam service. Hellifield in particular is only an extra four miles on from Settle.

That’s the issue with a lot of TSW routes, ending at Doncaster feels anticlimactic, should end up in York or Leeds

Possibly separate, but not as an extension.
