For the non german speakers: You can translate it to english or any othe language in the subtitles. The automatic translation function works with this video.

I always like if TV channels upload their complete documentaries to YouTube. It's a good will to entertain rather than just blocking content uploaded by third party people. Also many episodes of Eisenbahn Romantik are on YouTube. Worth to check out. I used one for my route suggestion Oberwesterwaldbahn, focusing about the Westerwald Querbahn but also parts of the other proposed route.

Eisenbahn Romantik is also broadcasted every morning im Bayrischen Rundfunk (mon-fri).

This video is well worth the time. Thanks for sharing!

I´m surprised by the remaining amount of manual work steps, although with lots of modern helpers.
The process seems to be optimized to a need-to-have base. No unnecessary gimmicks there.

There's also an English language narration of the same German Video above

The one I watch on Welt mostly are their military equipment documentaries

Wow, I didn't know that WELT also offers their documentaries in english and even has an english distribution channel (And as I can see pretty successful with that by the way). In germany, it's just a newspaper + TV channel broadcasting news and documentaries.

Now that I know that, it makes also more sense for me why many documentaries are so sophistacted and elaborate. Because they do not only produce them for germany, but also the whole world. Clever to provide a translated version! Really clever.

The reason why they did that it has to do to the fact that they make military and farming equipment documentaries for viewers around the world
