Creation Sharing Main - Weser - Bahn Frankfurt - Friedberg

Hello, today I wanted to share some progress on my upcoming route, the Main Weser Bahn from Frankfurt to Friedberg.
The part Friedberg to Frankfurt West is finished and Frankfurt Hauptbahnhof is currently under construction.

 

Woah what?? Frankfurt Main Station sooner in TSW as we thought??? awesome!

OMG how did u manage to get this amazing route with all the assets and traffic in just a bit more than one month? This is so crazy!

 

Looks incredible, very impressive. I've just been gathering all the data for AI at Bad Vilbel, and placing it into excel, for my Niddertalbahn timetable. Let me know if it would be of any use to you, and I'll happily send it over.

 

This is damn impressive.

How many custom assets are in there ? Are you alone, or a group of friends ? Would be extremely interesting to see how many people it took to do this compared to the DTG content.

 

I'm very impressed how well you managed to recreate the real scenery, not only of the stations, route and beside the tracks but also the scenery in the distance.

And all of that just within about 7 weeks after release. You're a very big motivation for all of us.

I hope you can finish this project one day. And if you feel exhausted, don't hesitate for asking for help in the forums. I mean not even DTG dare themselves onto the Frankfurt main station, but you do!!! As a single person!!! That is absolutely incredible.

Do you plan on releasing this for free or as a paid dlc

 

we can't just release our stuff as paid DLCs duh, thats against some policy or whatever, however if DTG is okay with the quality of the product, and the creator agrees (they have to contact DTG if they want it released as a DLC so far I know), they'd release it on both PC and console for, well, money

Those are all assets from the Niddertalbahn and Left Rhine. Only some assets like the station names are custom made. I'm working alone on this project.

As far as i know yes you will as it's an freeware route

I’m curious. How easy is it to create routes on TSW in comparison to TSC?

 

I´ve been routebuilding in TSC for nearly 10 years and I could never build Friedberg-Frankfurt from scratch in seven weeks. It´s seems to be easier or faster in some way. I would love to hear something from the creator on this subject.

 

If you need a website to host it for you, the Train Sim Community website would be more than happy to do so on your behalf. It's one of the biggest sites for community made TSW content apart from DTG's Creators Club.

(In the light of full disclosure, I am the person responsible for the TSC website.)

I think it's a really great route that we're going to get there. And it looks like really good work. I just wanted to ask whether the Bad Vilbel train station will stay as it is or whether it will be "improved" in the new century? And do the train stations also get PIS and is that the final signaling.

 

Incredibly impressive! Love the scenery with some assets clearly borrowed from the Niddertalbahn. Excited to see how Frankfurt Hauptbahnhof will shape up.

My hat comes off for you, for being the first person to successfully cook up some magic in the editor. This route looks incredible, I can’t wait to try it. I hope it’s accessible on consoles though.

Are you planning on using custom 3d assets? Like stations, a few buildings in Frankfurt, etc?

 

I haven't built any routes for TS but once you get the hang of the tools it is very easy

The route takes place in 2000 to 2010 and this is what Bad Vilbel looked like.
I dont know how PIS works in the editor but most of the stations dont have PIS. As far as I know only 4 stations.
The signalling still needs some work.

 

Frankfurt Hauptbahnhof and the Skyline will be custom made

 

So I just watched the whole video and I‘m at loss for words.
This is INCREDIBLE!
Just think about it! You could release it as it is with a timetable as Frankfurt West-Friedberg and I would happily pay the full route price for it! Incredible work you have done here and I can’t wait to play it once it’s out

2. Questions.

Can't you just place (or anyhow else "burn") the assets / meshes into the plugin folder of your route and use them from there only? Or are the assets only aliased from their original DLCs? Why do I exactly have to own the original DLCs for that?

(Basically the same question but about third-party assets)
How about third party assets somewhere in the Unreal Marketplace? Can't you just include them in the project folder and they can be used from inside there without any references to other origin folders?
