Very impressed and certainly a day one purchase for me. I love the level of detail. It seemed to run very smoothly too. The only slight nit picky comment I would make is that we really need some more variety of BR carriages. At least some blue/grey mark 1's but some airconditioned mark 2's too. But that isn't down to JT of course.

Also as stated above the chocolate and cream Skipper carried a set number which would have been for a Provincial liveried one.

I would like to just put a quick thank you to everyone who took the time to come and watch the preview this evening.
Really overwhelmed with the response we have seen tonight. It really puts it into perspective now that its been seen in action other than screenshots.

Regarding the numbering on the Pacer sets per correct livery it is something that we hope to look at fixing post release. Quite a messy process to do all of this so we need to ensure it is done carefully as to not break any existing set up of the stock. Please do bare with us on this.

Any feedback put out onto here will be noted also before and after release on tuesday to be looked into for post release patching.

Enjoy the rest of the evening folks!

    Tom

And I thought they couldn't have squeezed in any more surprises, people out of stations and AI guards are great additions. This route really has lived up to my high expectations and it were a brilliant stream, until JD mentions Spurs! ;) The route has been day one since I found out about it and by 'eck it still is, I am even looking forward to driving the Pacer which really is saying something as I do love my locos a lot. Great stream and Tuesday couldn't come any faster! Absolutely brilliant!

You had me for the first paragraph, I'll be honest. :D

Absolutely wonderful looking route. I was always planning to get this on Day 1. But the stream just confirmed that.

I can’t remember being this excited for a TSW release. I normally just play German routes as the British routes always seem so boring and empty. This changes that though, lots of variety. I also thought the stream itself was very well done. Lots of different things covered and I didn’t notice any questions being deliberately ignored. The communication from JT all along has been outstanding, the difference from the past being that the route lives up to the hype.

Overall I‘d built up high expectations for this route and so far they have been exceeded.

The bar has been raised. I‘m not going to wish it was Tuesday already as I’m on holiday until Monday, but I am really looking forward to it.

I’ve gotta say, this is really the first DLC in a long time that will be worth the £29.99.

The detail on the route is incredible, along with gameplay - really smashed it out the park there.

Then all the liveries across the 08, Mk1’s, 47 & 142’s, along with 3 engines for the 142. There’s also the fact that this is practically a loco DLC for WCL too. Incredible.

All the extra stuff too like announcements, dispatchers etc, I don’t know where to start with expressing how great this DLC looks.

I’m glad to see that JT will be bringing not only top tier 3rd party content, but top tier content overall. The only negative here will be that they’ve set the bar extremely high, especially for their first TSW release.

    Can’t wait for this one.

I forgot to look when the stream started but I had a rewatch back at that, and I appreciated the 2 minute start up time being included for services getting added in, something that I often fear could get missed but thankfully was included. Quite an essential piece of general setup.

I also made it 3 minutes for the steam special too as it takes a bit longer to get the 8F set up in my opinion.

not everyone uses free cam, so theirs also the matter of setting up passenger lights if their off in the carriages and taillights at the back if necessary and headlights on the front all whilst walking. :)

Just a little bit of feedback on the Pacer from tonight's stream. It's looking and sounding fantastic and I am really looking forward to playing it. However when pulling away in the Cummins powered version there should be a little bit more of a pause when the engine revs up and then pulls away as the fluid flywheel fills. I noticed in the stream it more less pulls away as soon as the the power lever is pulled whereas there should be a 2-3 second delay as the engine revs up and the fluid flywheel is filled and drive is taken up. But I think that is the only criticism I can find. A really fantastic looking piece of dlc coming our way

Not watched the stream but reading the feedback has allayed the slight concerns I had. Looking like this is back to a Day One purchase for me.

So I can officially say Poole is in Train Sim World now...... I saw the sneaky addition of 1M88 Poole - Blackpool North service. Quite often caught the that train to goto Reading for the day.

Looking forward to the day I can say my local line is in TSW. Currently I have to stick with the Isle of Wight.

Overall I loved the look and feel of the route. I think the only couple of things we are missing are some of the 8x xxx locos around Preston and the odd 37 running through Preston.

Really looking forward to this and you guys have done a top job.

Actually quick question for those who watched the stream.

Was anyone from DTG on and if so did they answer regarding still not being able to chain services with the save game?

You saved my day mate, i was up to buy this route with all those efforts.
Thinking about now, as a backer of tsw with mostly day 1 purchaises of all routes, many got used to "accept" the average minimum of DTG&co.

Well maybe there is actually hope left, feels like fresh air with all the surprises and extra bits.

Thanks to JT! You got me as customer.

Smashed it out of the park lads.

Was really great to hear Tom's Benedict's and Steve's obvious knowledge and passion.

Watched the second half of the stream live, and caught up on the first part, in the car this morning. In a carpark I should add. Might have got some funny looks as the deep bass sound of a Pacer throbbed over the car speakers.

Will be buying on Tuesday, from the JT site so you get to see that hard earned cash straight away. Beautiful work. Well done guys.

That's because files get locked about a week or so before release, so they can't update it currently. That's just how software works. The current build they have will be stable and working, they don't want to rock the boat by fixing something that could break something worse right before release.

I'm just watching the stream, it is amazing what little touches like whistles and horns on AI trains do to overall atmosphere on stations. So far, this looks lika a day 1 purchase for me.
Looks like a really strong start for JT as a TSW 3rd party.

There's a few missing links in the rolling stock stable now but most of the models exist not the liveries Buffets excepted......

As I have said this route hopefully a springboard to more BR content after the avalanche of EMU routes with deserted huge stations. That isn't realism whilst JT have done their best with the available stock. The AC locos should hopefully come one day, till then permanent isolation on....

Absolutely stunning job the JT team have done. Beautiful all around, setting the standard as to how a route should be. Definitely a day one purchase!

Only disappointment as such, is seeing the dreaded 'close doors on red signal' which was seen at Kirkham on the stream. Takes a little bit of the immersion away, but not game breaking.

Other than that, top job JT!

It looked great but my only concern was the strange lack of any aerial footage (outside view was restricted to ground level only) whilst the train was moving and with there already being some noticeable framerate drops as well as draw distance issues in the fields on the right hand side of the tracks (which can be seen from inside the cab) I'm a bit worried about how it's going to look and perform on lesser powered gen9 consoles.

I'm not suggesting you were hiding something...but I have to ask the question because should there be any gameplay impacting performance issues it's almost impossible to get a refund on consoles.

Is there a list of the in game named 47's anywhere? Had a browse through the manual and couldn't see owt, though there was a cab pic of 541 so I take it 'The Queen Mother' is one, I've also seen 555 The Commonwealth Sprit (a regular in Chester) and 480 Robin Hood in screen shots.

I can't remember how many named 47's were around in 1986. I take it we won't have the Stratford 47's and ScotRail push pull 47's which is fair enough.

Just curious if some of the other regulars will appear in game that I used to see (471 Norman Tunna GC) and ride behind in the 80's

I thought I saw 47471 without a name, although it was a fleeting glance so it might have been a different number.

I won’t say anything so as not to spoil it but believe me it’s well worth £29.99 plus added benefit if you own west Cornwall local you can axe 150/2 if you want to as class 142 actually can be dropped into timetable mode on that route

According to their blog they have 49 nameplates for the Class 47:

In addition to the livery changes, we’ve also contacted an old friend, Matthew Wilson, who is well known for his nameplate and reskin work in Train Sim Classic. Matt has kindly created 49 nameplates to be carried on our Class 47’s. These add that extra detail to look out for as you’re riding the rails. You’ll never know quite which “namer” might show up! Famous names such as ‘City of Truro’, ‘Fire Fly’ and ‘North Star’ are among those included.

I don't think they would answer that specific question on a route preview stream. Probably appropriate for a roadmap stream

Have to say it looks very very good. The attention to detail is excellent & the little extras like auto announcements, making it ready for other routes, making the barely used station quiet and the token exchange just show the level it should be at.

Proof obviously in the pudding but looks great at this stage.

Night Mail also appeared in InterCity livery, which means it has to be 47515 and not 47476. A shame I couldn't see the number on it in the stream...

Like most others, very impressed with the stream last night and cannot wait to get my hands on the route next Tuesday (the route looks fantastic and the stream itself was just enjoyable to watch). Very well done to the Just Trains team, hopefully this will be the first of many great projects for TSW and I can't wait to see what you create in the future!

To be fair though they have said that a good chunk of that time was slower paced because they had to learn what they were doing pretty much from scratch, they hadn't worked with TSW and Unreal Engine before. I reckon the dev time would probably be shortened to about one year for another route of this level, if even that.

The route looks fantastic on the stream. I'm not sure yet if it'll be a day one purchase for me, but even if I wait for a sale this is the route that will get me to upgrade from TSW3, and maybe pick up some additional routes (SOS, WCL, and Class 31) for layering. I'm looking forward to hanging out at Preston or Blackpool North and watch the trains go by.
