Hello, I've been thinking the Carslie - Settle line may be a good introduction for TSW4. The Carslie - Settle line is a heritage line, but a regular service is provided by Northern Rail in the Class 150 Sprinters. I have visited multiple station on the line, and they are a glimps of what UK railways were like. Regarded as a "one of the most scenic rail routes", featuring locations such as Ribblehead Viaduct, the line could offer a mix of regular pax services, or operating a steam tour from York - Carslie (if the full line was implemented). There are no freight services on the route I believe, bit please do correct me if wrong. The addition of Carslie could also be on opportunity to add further routes such as the Avanti West Coast route, (A bit off topic but nearby Carslie is a station that serves the town of Penrith, and its a unique station as it is on a corner, which could be interesting), a ScottRail route aswell. I'm aware this would most likely be hard to implement and that it may not be worth the developers time, and it would involve modeling a new train and getting permission from Northern Rail, so I understand why this route may never be implemented into the game. On a side note I am very impressed with the Blackpool line with what I've seen, hats off Devs. Anyways, I wish everyone a good day, Vulcan
Hello, I have just seen another suggestion for this route, but set in the 50's, highly reccomend you go read it. It was posted by edward#5859 .
Welcome to the forums, this is a great route to do a first suggestion on Here is some information you may find helpful: Northern operate Class 158 'Express Sprinter' diesel multiple units along this route and not Class 150 'Sprinter' DMU. The name of the railtour is 'The Waverley' and would be operated by A3 Pacific 60103 'Flying Scotsman' as per reality. Carlisle is a good start point for a route containing the West Coast Main Line heading north towards Glasgow or south towards Preston (both of which are routes in TSW's sister title Train Simulator Classic). I think this would not be a waste of DTG or another developer's time because it means the developer is keen to take their time and focus on development. Licenses should not be a problem as seen with Glossop Line, DTG already have a Northern license, so as long as Northern are fine with DTG doing another of their routes and the usage of the license, then you could have a Class 158 in fully branded Northern Trains livery. Do keep suggesting routes and locos and hopefully one of your suggestions might be noticed by DTG or another developer and may be made into a route
I have a question about the blackpool route how many gbs it going to be for the Xbox one i am on the xbox one and my tsw 4 game is at 92.2 gbs
I'm not sure I'm afraid, maybe ask in the main Blackpool Branches thread in the TSW General Discussion subforum and hopefully somebody will have an answer
While this route has the potential to look stunning, I’m not hugely convinced regarding the playability, even including the freight services and rail tours.
