My "Save Game" function when playing scenarios still doesn't work. As per some other postings in this thread TSW4 will let me action a save and it will let me go back in to it. However the time then goes back to the original start time of the scenario meaning that the player is now out of sync with the AI. This effectively makes "Save" unusable. Has it really always been like this or has something changed? David
SEHS 6Y48 Eastleigh Yard to Hoo Junction. Finished this service, it then started the following Hoo Junction service. I did the first couple of tasks then saved it. When I reloaded the save, it decided to skip to the next objective of uncoupling wagons - I was behind them in front of a set of buffers. It completely disregarded the current task which started before I saved it. Xbox One, SEHS.
On my PS5, On Saturday I'd spent several hours on NTP, Was spawning stock to shunt around at Huddersfield, I eventually saved it as I wanted to return to it. A while later I went back onto the game, went to load up my saved activity it took ages to load, took about a minute or two and then when it loaded it was an Azuma service on ECML that loaded. The game for some reason had deleted my NTP saved game and loaded up a game I'd saved weeks ago.
I have noticed, after you save the game, and you must use that "save", the HUD top left information does not appears. I am on PS4 Hopes this can be fixed
Yeah it should have been, and I know it saves because it came up as "Game saved" when I clicked it and on the menu screen it had the generic picture to show the NTP saved game was available.

Issue Summary: Save game messing with loco setup and DSD beeping. When I load the GWR HST in on free roam, the brake release is always a bit janky with how it works, mainly when coupling up. I know it isn't usually meant to but I was trying to re create a DVT sort of consist with a hst. The breaks don't quite work properly as you have to have one of the cabs unlocked to be able to get a brake release in the main loco. The DSD on a save game also locks the brakes on occasionally and you can not disable the constant beeping. See my post on Page 7 of the Vorarlberg feedback thread, re stuck trains and red signals at Feldkirch playing a loaded save on a timetable run in Journey Mode.
13:15 Departure from Minehead with the Class 33. I'd set the headcode to display 69. Saved at Crowcombe Heathfield, reloaded and continued the following day. Headcode was now displaying as 96. After the run on the summary screen none of the expected markers showed for all my cases of speeding. On a run where I don't save and reload they do display without issue.
Issue summary: complete power failure on BR101 Platform: Steam Route: All Austro-German Service: Any Issue: after restoring from a save, the power goes to zero and cannot be recovered. Throttle off, no dice. Reset MCB, no dice. Turn off AFB, no dice. The traction motors are dead and can't be revived.
The save game feature is completely broken and in effect useless. Every time I save, I load back into the service and the whole game is broken. The HUD doesn’t reappear, only the track monitor. There are no objective indicators, meaning even if you continued driving, the tasks won’t ever be completed. Now I don’t tend to save often, fortunately. However sometimes I have no other option. I like to drive in service mode as authentically as possible, meaning I drive from A to B, wait for a train in the opposite direction, and return, and so on.
I have spent quite a few hours using Touch Portal to come up with a way of saving the current save file to a particular directory (e.g. if I have been playing London Commuter then when I select save on Touch Portal it will automatically save to the directory I have created for this route). I can then restore the save by selecting the relevant route in Touch Portal (in this example London Commuter) and it then overwrites the save file in the TSW saved games directory. I also keep a note of the time that I saved the game (because TSW annoyingly doesn't save the in-game time for scenarios I have created). I then use God mode to set the game time to the saved time and off I go. A lot of faffing about but as TSW really doesn't handle game saving at all well it is necessary. Why am I telling you all this? Because I have just installed TSW5 free upgrade and when I try to use my saved files created in TSW4 I get problems. I can only assume that for TSW5 the saved file format has changed? If so it means all my saved games are no longer useable and I have lost all my progress which is extremely annoying. I appreciate sorting out the saving of games is probably not everyone's highest priority but I really would have thought being able to save progress for each route shouldn't be that difficult? My concern is that will I continue to lose all my save game progress when the inevitable TSW6, TSW7, etc. roll out each year. Surely there has to be a better way of doing this.
