I prefer to find my joy in new game content when it's out and it's good, not before it comes out.

British Ace previewed it on Xbox this morning and aside from the usual micro-stutter as well as slightly washed out visuals (clear sky) it didn't look & perform too badly at all. JT can have my money when it goes on sale though because I don't really see it as a priority purchase.

Check out British Aces preview. That should wet your whistle a bit.
    Maybe your opinion will change.
Being previewed on the worst system to play TSW (in my opinion) it performed great. All boxes were ticked.
Be great to read your feedback tomorrow if you’re buying the route.

Chances are that this route will turn out to be very good but there are a couple of cautionary notes which will probably lead me to wait a day or two and see what the early adopters post on the feedback threads.

The route itself is not especially interesting, but the classic stock will make it a definite purchase sooner or later.

I would disagree, branches for varying experiences, mainline and not mainline track areas, set in a rather well known place, not short in length, important landmarks, other scenery details to name a few things.

seems to have hit quite a few major areas for an interesting route in my view

The individual sections are quite short though, but it is a (sort of) network which is what we have been asking for. Other than the iconic Blackpool structures in terms of natural scenery the Fylde peninsula is pretty much flat as a pancake as is the section out to Ormskirk so we are not grinding our way up 1 in 40 Horseshoe Curves or running on ledges 200 feet above a loch. I am probably with Crosstie and will wait a couple of evenings to see the early reports and in particular the motion sickness aspect.

When it comes to branches they are often going to be smaller, total area is 48 miles, anything above about 35 i regard as good length, further is better.

unless your looking for a route to be over about 80miles it’s not going to be an easy route to make a branch line route have long branches (assuming there is one)

As I have said on the other 'official' thread I am really looking forward to this releasing and it seems to be looking absolutely fantastic with some brilliant features. There will be a couple of niggles, that is inevitable, however the important thing is I have the confidence that JT will want to get any niggles fixed ASAP as it is blatantly obvious they have a lot of passion for this project.
Many of us here have been asking for a BR Blue route for years and multiple iterations of TSW now and JT are knocking on our doors with this in their hands so there is no doubt that I am buying it the second I get through my list from wife tomorrow!

Show's how messed up the world is, that you can only get 120 Freddos for £30.

Hmm... £30 on something you can keep forever, or £30 on something you'll eat?

Games won't go anywhere so you have plenty of time to buy it if you don't pick it up tomorrow

I spend £30 quid on a Dominos large pizza, 2 sides and bottle of drink at the weekend. I regret it dearly ;)
