Hi, I'm just testing an update to the editor to get it working again and I want to run it against some existing user created files just to make sure it hasn't introduced any new issues. I've tested a scenario, so if someone has a route they can send over and/or a train I would appreciate it - will delete it as soon as done. Dropbox or onedrive etc it please and DM me a link! Want to get this out today, so sooner the better please - thank you!
I have scenarios and formations I can send with my custom plug-in. Should I just send the entire thing?
You do realize it is possible to cook and package content with the current editor by applying a community made fix. Where as its likely not as easy or intuitive as what DTG has instore for us it does at least work and will let you share content you've made up to this point. I'm glad DTG is taking the editor seriously and has affected a fix for it while still working on the next major build.
I always read people speaking about this secret fix or workaround, but how does it work actually? The only video I've saw about it was Matt's Editor Preview (masterclass) where he said that we can copy some DTG assets and edit them so. Is this that secret trick? Or what you do you guys mean? Where can I find how it works? Didn't come to that point where this is important yet, but am highly interested in for the next couple of weeks.
For the second day I can’t start the editor. The editor stopped launching after the game update 13.11. After the patch came out, I launched the editor. Yesterday the error appeared again.
Thanks for the answer! Yes, the Steam update was installed automatically on the day it was released. This evening the error went away again by itself and the editor started. I don't understand what's happening.
The PC Editor gets updated by the Epic Games App. Maybe it did so automically for you now, and you didn’t notice it. I did so manually in the Epic Games app. For us Steam users, this is something strange as we have too applications for the game. Steam for the main game, and Epic for the PC Editor.
