What's the reason that the br204 isn't added to the timetable?

 

It doesn't look too bad, 642 looks good, probably won't get it day one though, still got my hands full with BPO.

 

They look like their right on the edge of the hill, wouldn't be surprised if they were floating though

 

Whats the reason the substitution on freight locomotives are kept on the lowest possible minimum? (Is there no other traffic in reality or might there be a problem with the substitution in tsw4?) --> Es64U2, MRCE185.5, br187...

 

The PIS on the 642 in the screenshots shows "Milternberg" it should be "Miltenberg" without R. It is spelled correctly on the map.

Will Trains from MSB layer on around Aschaffenburg?

likely HBf, it seems to scroll as the “A” from aschaffenburg is missing, some of the PIS like the Koln 423 doesn’t include the numbers only destination. (I’m aware it’s the wrong method)

Well, at least the 642 means that the Sprinter train could be possible if DTG ever gets a license from the NCTD.

 

Yes the A is missing, this is what I wanted to say. The rest is so blurry that I can't see if it says "HB" or "Hbf". However I've taken a look at several photos from 642's of the route and it should be "RB Aschaffenburg" or "RB XX Aschaffenburg" so the number of the Regionalbahn added. But it seems that the 642's their have different PIS.







A friend of mine was their a few weeks ago, it reads "RB Crailsheim"


EDIT: The PIS Error is a bit funny, in the Artwork at the end of the Video it correctly shows "RB" for Regionalbahn.

 

I‘m praying everyday until preview stream for the 642 sound to be at least „ok“.

 

Probably an error in setup like the Koln 423, strangely the Munich 423 is fine.

completely agree the number should be their, I remember pointing it out when new journeys pack released but it didn’t get changed for that.

Surely an error, and easy to fix the spelling and add the RB number, so I hope they will fix that before the 28th of November. That's why I pointed it out. Spelling errors are very annoying especially when it is your native language being wrong ;-)

 

If it’s allowed to substitute with the 363 it will be available there (no clue if it can by my knowledge I don’t have the 204, it can also be restricted on per route basis that way also) likewise with the G6 most likely

reason it won’t be listed in “Ai at aschaffenburg” is probably cause it doesn’t appear as Ai only there.

Whilst I have plans not to make purchases at this time (I don’t think I would have went for 2 routes in the same month regardless) I look forward to seeing more of the route and loco in the preview stream to keep up with what dlcs have to offer for when I do resume purchases

 

Hopefully it's the draw distance, and there's plenty lineside vegetation...

Really this should have been released last week, before Blackpool. Because now we have now seen what CAN be done with TSW.

 

Will this be another mediocre DTG effort, overshadowed by Blackpool-Preston-Ormskirk by Just Trains?

Quite a few noticeable errors already and it’s not even released yet. Deary me.

Anyone, even the closer screenshots look bland and underdetailed. Does not look like a well made route, sadly.

I'm sure it wasn't intended this way, but that top picture shows a train at the platform, doors wide open, and passengers standing on said platform staring off into space - just like passengers on most routes in TSW.

 

not every passenger gets on the first train that pulls up, but anyways passengers are core not route issue, it takes them to fix that for them to work on any route.

 

Every sentence with "DTG" in it is incomplete without the word "mediocre"

 

Not anymore, a while ago (like + two years), the HMA 423 got its font updated (and you guessed it, the font is worse). But due to that font change, the setup of some text is broken. Some text is too long, for example:

"eerfahrt zum Betrietriebswer"

 

Train looks nice (except the typos and inaccurate graphics in the PIS). But I’m afraid the rest of the route looks a bit dated. The screenshots (which I’m assuming are already showing the better parts of the route) display a lack of detail at the stations and uninspiring lineside scenery.
I’m definitely looking forward to the preview stream though - perhaps the route will look better in motion than on the screenshots. Also have to positively note the high amount of layers compared to other rural German routes.

 

Only BR 642 + 363, the rest is AI.

 

Admittedly, I'd be lying if I said I wasn't interested in this route. Branch lines are greatly appreciated in TSW, and the 642 is a lovely looking DMU. Helps that this is a reduced price at $30. Only issue is that I'd have to buy TSW4 to get this, so that's a no-go for a while...

slightly off topic but applies to this route.

I think DTG need to release a create your own iteration bundle where you get base game + a route of your choice that’s released. Would help not having a ton of bundle options appear but still allow that at the same time.

 

I remember wishing for custom bundles for Train Sim Classic. I remember seeing them do the yearly update and going like "man I wanted the TS2019 routes" or something like that. For a game with so many routes in it, I'm surprised TSC and TSW have never let new players choose which routes they'd like with their game. They're stuck with whatever was thrown onto the base game.

 

Except the 628 from niddertalbahn

 

And 612 from Tharandter Rampe, which also subs in the 642 Services as the 628.

 

I also read this and was quite confused. This was not mentioned before (I think) and, more importantly, is not prototypical!
At least for the last 15 or so years, I'm sure that the 612 did not run there, as I regularly used the line. (And I never heard about it being used there before.)

 

Now the line number is still missing on the display. Will this be corrected too?

 

Not the most exciting route choice for me as I'm not a major fan of single-track routes and I'd of so wished to have seen MSB get a TOD 4 and comprehensive timetable update instead, but ironically, however, I still am looking forward to it though as it's been ages since a modern German route!

I have a few questions I'd like answered dtg_jan if you don't mind?
1 - With the 642 interior featuring many side-facing seats, are passengers yet able to sit on these; I wonder because otherwise it would make the carriage always look rather empty.
2 - Why is the BR 204 completely absent considering it was a DLC for MSB? I've always liked the 204 and prefer driving it to the 363; it's frustrating that you can hardly use the 204 in general anymore as it was playable on a lot of German routes previously but nowadays only MSB which if baffling.
3 - From the list of locos providing just AI services, are these permanent or is there any flexibility on loco substitution - basically, if you own other DLC such as the 187 for example, could this be instead of the 185, or the ICE 3 instead of the ICE 1 etc.

 

I'm not sure about that, above photos show different PIS in the 642. At least it should be "RB" in Front, so "RB Aschaffenburg Hbf" "RB Crailsheim" etc. as far as I understand.

Friend of mine is their tomorrow again, so hopefully he can take some photos.

Question is, is this only DTG's fault or would it be the time for Rivet to make an overhaul o the loco?

 

This is a nonelectrified line. Only freight diesels for Germany (so far) are the shunters.
I do wish though if they're going to keep using the 363 they'd do it in red again. Blue is a gross anachronism.

 

The 204 was removed from substitution on other German routes because it was a bug and was never supposed to do that. I guess realism played a role, idk.

 

I know, i was questioning the a.i layers, why not substitute the 185 with more locos.

 

Probably because every loco type added to memory increases the performance hit, and for AI traffic around a single station it was deemed not worth it.

 

As to your point 2... Does this new route,. also includes the port area and yards as MSB?
Due to if not...and it is just the single track route, I do not think it be included.
Anyway, if you had purchased for MSB - as I did - you could add it on Free Roam mode easily.

 

The charity support with penslise all platforms, to not having a performance hit on a (the) low performance platform, let me convince this will my next 80% sale purchais. Good to know.
