For some reason between Blackpool north and Poulton le fylde I have fps drops. Some big stutters dropping to 45 fps then back up to 60fps between these two stations. As soon as I leave Poulton le fylde everything is smooth and no more fps dropping anywhere. Does anyone have any ideas. Is my graphic card getting old. Rtx 2070 super and Ryzen 5 3600 and 32gig.

Yes, it hits on the outskirts of Blackpool, then just arriving at the Layton station, then 3-4 times more on to Poulton le Fylde. Seems to be fairly regular intervals in that stretch.

It was also stuttering and hitching quite badly on the Ormskirk section (before the PC crashed at Preston). Can't be shaders compiling as I already ran that section yesterday.

Hopefully dtg or just trains can look at this may be some optimization in places.

I reported similar in the feedback thread, PS5 is struggling to A) hit 60fps & B) stay at any consistent FPS - between Poulton & Blackpool.

    Hello everyone,

Thanks for the feedback on the performance issues, I made a ticket from the original mentions on the dedicated feedback thread, but I will update it with the additional context provided on this thread, and see if there's any cause for the performance being tied to specific locations.

I only got the crash once the first time I did the run and it has been fine since. I did some further testing last night.

It’s certainly a strange one. If it was a particularly large shader compiling then surely would already have done so on visiting Preston the first time and departing towards Ormskirk, which was fine.

Got some quick instances down to about 15fps on series x on the Blackpool north - to Le Fylde section

I have very big FPS drops around the east and west of Layton (even when running just one train on freemo). At times it is a slideshow there - very poor for what is otherwise a great route. On standard PS4.

Do DTG or Just Trains read these threads? It would be good to get a response, if only to acknowledge the problem.

The best way to report a problem would probably be the feedback thread for the route or the troubleshooting section.

It's the weekend so if they're responding, they're doing it in their free time. They also aren't community managers so they can't always be active on the forums. Some team members are pretty active like Matt from dtg who stays up really late at night to fix and test things. Jt have also been very vocal

With it being a separate topic it's gone unnoticed as I'm mainly just looking in the main Blackpool thread.
