    Greetings everyone,
Do you think we could one day get a Class 142 with the passenger doors it went out of service with in TSW4?
The photo below shows what I mean:

I don't think so. JT's given us nine variants of the Pacer. Time to focus on new things I guess.

A pacer with doors like those would come with a more modern route

Didn’t they changed the doors in the 90’s but the route is set in the 80’s ?

Yeah BPO is set in 1986 so the 142 has been in service for about a year

Well the original question was never about this version of the Pacer for BPO. If a more modern route ever reuses the Pacer, it would be quite easy to modify it into a modern variant.

Pretty much just needs a GSMR slapped on, and the new doors. Other than that its the same thanks to the engine changes already being done I think?

+1 to this, plenty of good stock in the sim that we never see utilised enough, it’s always the same handful.

Yes, JT really have set up a solid base for someone to build upon here. Really all that is needed is a 156, these modifications the the 142 and modifications to the 158 and we're well on our way to seeing a modern diesel route in the north with good variety and layering. I just hope this potential is seen.
