Feature Free Roam

Hi all. Now free roam is a thing and you can spawn in a train or coach. Wouldnt it be nice if you could spawn in your custom liveries for rolling stock as well so you dont need to do a scenario or a time table mode. Only a thought DTG Alex

 

Can't you do this already or am I getting confused.

 

You can do that from the beginning of this great feature!
When you select the locomotive, at the right, there is the choice of selecting the ones subscribed by you - on Creators's Club

Here there is an example:

That BR187 is one I subscribed



BR 187 does not have DTG's official repaint - yet - in Railpool livery. Hope they include it soon.
Meanwhile I used that repaint available on Creator's Club

 

As of right now, you can only load Liveries for the Locomotives on Free roam. But for some reason you can't on anything else.

Don't know why, I wish you could because it'd actually add some immersion.

 

You can already do that mate. You just got to look and explore the menu a bit more when you press TAB.

 

Not all of the rolling stock thats on the game and even if it is there like the scotsman my livery for the coaches doesnt come up

 

Officially you could use any locomotive and cars you have, including paint schemes.

According to DTG definition:
"What is Free Roam mode?
Free roam mode gives you a blank canvas to get creative with. It’s just you and any route to explore without interruptions. Build your train by placing or removing locomotives, cars, and wagons at any time. No need to worry about signals, the path is dynamically set depending on where you want to go".

Of course it will take much time, to change all of the vehicles on consist to a different paint scheme.
For example locomotive + passenger wagons.

Let's see how the new tool - like a "consist editor" will allow us to do!
It will be great if after you select a "default" consist - including original locomotive and cars paint scheme - , you can change the scheme for each different one!.
If you have the same passenger or freight car, it will great if you could change one, and then copy in the consist

For locos, there is a livery tab in the spawn menu. Same for multiple units. And single wagons. Doesn't work with consists yet, though. Need to wait for the consist editor for that.
