I saw the preview today, and liked what I saw a lot. But it just doesn't make sense to end the route at Ospizio Bernina! It's only 22,3km extra to St. Moritz and would give us a complete route. I'm aware that deadlines exist, but PLEASE be the exception and not the rule of the franchise and deviate from the norm to give us, your paying customers, a complete, finished product. We want the DLC to succeed just as much as you do.

Totally agree. Either Rivet wrongly thought stopping at an intermediate station wouldn't be immersion breaking, they ran out of time or they're planning to fleece us with a full price extension with all of the bugs from the original route fixed.

Rivet's only decent release has been the Updated IOW line, everything else I've bought from them has left me feeling short-changed. So I won't be buying their stuff anymore, not now Just Trains have shown me what a good add-on looks like.

It's what they decided from the start. It may seem it is just 22.3km, but that's a lot of work to model and make it accurate to real life. It's not just 22 km of straight track with 0 scenery. Them being a small team could mean they have to rush the process. Delaying can also have financial impacts or it could result in the possibility of it never releasing at all until the next release slot opens.

Only? You know Maintalbahn is 36 km. It's 61% percent of Maintalbahn you want them to add? Do you have an idea how much work that is? If not - use the editor and "just" model 22 kilometres of tracks, signals, stations and scenery. You'll see - it's a job that takes months.

I am sorry to tell you that they are going to launch it at exactly the planned length.
In these cases, if they give me half the route, what I do is to be patient and wait for a 50% discount to buy it.

The amount of dev time and money that would take to make would be impractical.

In other words: The route is cut short for a reason.

Them being a "small" team is irrelevant, they picked the route. If they can't offer the complete experience, why are they charing the full price for it? It's not worth the price they are asking.

Which is why they are paid to do it. They are charging full price, for something that isn't worth it.

    Pretty much.

Discussed at length in the main forum but I'm firmly on the side if they couldn't budget the time or resources to do the whole route justice they shouldn't have bothered. This is payware not a freeware effort someone has knocked up out the kindness of their hearts. I mean for chrissake, it leaves out Pontresina a major traffic hub and depot on the line. It's like starting the Kyle line at Achanalt instead of Dingwall or Inverness.
