Whats the reason for this late release on steam? 6pm GMT? On epic is 4pm?

 

Is anybody else on PS5 missing the red DB BR 628 layer in timetable mode? I have Niddertalbahn installed and can spawn the train in free roam.

Yeah... you're going to have too, because I don't see anything wrong.

 

The 628 does sub in although its not listed on the playable list of rolling stock for you to drive.

Yeah thats what im pointing out... Its only in the route it self its not possible to choose in the timetable main menu

 

As mentioned before some of the promotional shots are taken weeks before whilst thee route is still in final production / testing. So they can have bits on them that are not final. This also naturally could have been missed andd to be hoest its not Game breaking bug or immersion braking either. Would you hvee noticed it from the cabb of the train?

I believe they are aware of it as it was the same on the preview stream last week. It wasnt in the loco selection area.

Things like this are expected and understandable, after all you can't double check every single asset on the route.

But did noone really notice this when selecting the preview screenshots? Couldn't they have chosen a screenshot that does not show this?

Honestly, if they can't even be bothered to make the route look good on screenshots, how much effort do you think they put in the route itself?

 

The question is, is it still their? At least one should think that after a promo-screen is taken (and this is noticed) then it should be fixed in the later release version.

Btw. the US Van is also "off" for german content.

Oh, well, there was me thinking it was a genuine problem being highlighted.

Not sure how fair a comment this is, I doubt they "wern't bothered" as such, mostly like an employee was just given a selection of photos to add the watermarks too and get ready for promotional materials.

If it was the same people doing both route and promotionals, then sure, but when it's obviously different departments, it's not fair to assume as such.
This is where I get really annoyed by people picking on the tiniest details of DTG and slamming them for it

 

Now that the TSW3 updates have started rolling out people are really having to scrape the bottom of the barrel for things to moan about.

Because steam and epic set it up that way. Other games and sales also occur at that time

 

While gameplay wise a tree clipping the road is not a big issue, it is quite sad to see the bar set so low. Objects clipping into each other is not really considered acceptable in the game development industry, it's sign of poor attention to detail.

Of course it is different for such large scale routes such as TSW routes, when these assets are placed with brush and not one by one.

But I still think the fact that they use such a screenshot for promotional material is poor effort. It means noone during the selection, editing and releasing process cared enough to say "wait guys, this screenshot looks bad, could we choose another one?". Gives the feeling that noone cares at all.

 

I noticed 2 things:
- The tree over the road.
- The van - the first vehicle at the left - is an USA model, not available in Europe. I guess...

 

No thats not true... Blackpool route was released at 4pm GMT

 

The RB/RE logo is missing on the 642, Aschaffenburg and Miltenberg have no PIS and the Br612 is undrivable on Mainthalbahn PS5

Another thing to add: The Doorlight doesn't turn Green like on the PC Version

How hillarious some people are. Where should we set the standard for the future?
Cars under the road are OK, fences with broken LOD models are OK, "raising grass" (which has a comeback here) is OK, trees on the road and in the river are now OK, decals missing on the inside are OK. Maybe I should drive with the sunscreen down and listen to loud music, so it is OK for my standards as well.

So what is the standard? Nice looking glitch-free scenery? Working signals? Working PZB? Or is it enough when the train just moves forward and backward?

Yes it bothers me to have vegetation models missplaced, because it looks awful. But everything is fine by now, low standard sounds, low standard scenerey, bugs, errors, go away with it, I can drive my train service so I'm OK. Fine for you, not for me and not for other people. Having spend over 1000€ into this game it is annyoing for me to see this stuff over and over again which just indicates lack of quality control and lack of improving Q&A. And yes I've also pre-ordered this route, surely I have only done it to complain here.

Btw. I haven't found missplaced vegetation on Blackpool for example, so are just my expectations too high or does it indicate that Q&A didn't work or it was rushed?

There a in the other topic questions about the build thats released today for the consoles. Its very likely that you have get a wrong build

 

I like the looks and content of this newest route, especially its freight possibilities, but Steam is still keeping me from making any purchases:

I've tried numerous "fixes" for this absurd blockage, but none of them have worked. Now I'm feeling desperate, so what might happen if I uninstall Steam and reinstall it?

Its not out on steam. You can purchase it from 6pm GMT and you have to update your steam program

 

It says the 642 subs in on Tharandter Rampe - presumably for the 612. Would it be able to keep time? It would make more sense for it to replace that unit on Bremen - Oldenburg

 

It is available for pre-order so you can buy it. In the above case it seems Steam wasn't updated for ages seeing the patchnotes from June appearing. So Steam is outdated for LastTrainToClarksville which is preventing from making purchases as you have said correctly.

just to confirm... is the release date for Steam (PC) right now or in two more hours? on the DLC store page it switched from unlocking in approximately less than one hour to coming soon, so it should be ready, no? Because of the discount lasting two more hours. I am kinda concerned here, if it really takes two more hours I won't be able to test it today anymore

Especially as it is has been always like this, same time for every DLC / TSW iteration.

 

not if it's late in the evening making most people practically unable to play it the same day it releases due to school/work/knows-the-devil. I don't care if it's DTGs fault or Steams fault I will just punch my pillow regardless

 

I've been trying to purchase this route at its pre-release price ever since the link became available, but Steam is preventing me from doing so. The availability of shunting engines on this otherwise exclusively passenger route will tempt me to buy it even at full price, but I won't be able to buy anything until my Steam blockage goes away. There must be some DTG admin who can help me???

 

The common steam release time is 10am PST, when the store is updated. Not related to DTG.

 

Have you already updated your Steam client?

 

The point is the pre-order so it's both ways.... It gives you sale but a later release....
