    Hi there,

First of all, sorry for posting this kind of question. I know it must sound a bit "dumb" and beginner, but this is my first time playing a train sim, so I am full of questions, and would love to count with your help, if possible.

I was wondering the following: what (or how) to play after the training center?

I mean, there are a lot (I think) of options, and I am a bit lost there. Or, what is t he most appropriate "path" to someone who has never played this genre of game (after the training/tutorials)?

Is there some thread on this forum regarding this matter? If so, please excuse me (and I would love to be able to read it).

Well, thanks in advance for any help. :)

whatever you want. play on any route, any service, any scenario, any train, it's up to you. you can also ruin the flow or everything using freeroam and spawn new trains or remove others in the middle of their service. side note: the training center is not the end! you can still do everything you want there such as speed testing, coupling units that don't fit together at all, or cause derailments (even though it ends your session :()

    TLDR: your choice ;)

As already mentioned: Take on the Journeys first. For the simple reason that they´re still kinda "assisted". You´ll still have step by step instructions until you have it in your blood.

    Have fun!

Specifically, from the home screen, select To the trains > Journey > choose a route you'd like to play > select the journey > choose the first service in the journey, which is normally a loco introduction, and carry on down the services in the journey for that route

Rinse and repeat for each route you have, though obviously you can jump into any route journey at any time

Once you have a feel for the game play with the other features at your own pace

    Hey guys,

Many thanks for your help and attention.

I'll also annotate your answers, very useful!

I was thinking in to first finish the training center, but now I changed my mind. I don't think that is necessary, and will start other parts of the game as well.

Honestly, just pick a train that's easy to drive and just go for it. If it's TSW4 then the Azuma on East Coast Mainline is perfect because it's a long journey that gives you more than enough time to get used to (and play around with) the various buttons and levers without the pressures involved with having to stop at various stations every couple of miles.

Honestly as others have said do what you want, I will point you to ECML too, but just discover the trains and routes you like. Personally though I would steer well clear of the training centre apart from when you're doing the tutorials.

Although I have had TSW4 since it came out , I was the same didn’t know how to start or play the game , it does take some getting used to.Although I’m still learning,I can’t wait to play it most days as well as learning something every day .
