There are two 423s, one for Cologne and one for Munich and what exactly do you mean by the driver model?
MoRoN222 You know...I'm happy for you if you are happy, yes the sound is "OK" their has been more worse sounds in TSW for sure. But "OK" is not great and as we always wish for an improving and evolving simulator it surely could have been done better, especially as the real sounds had been recorded for this one.
you need to polish up your english, it's "question'" not "ask". "ask" is what you are doing. asking a question. the model of the train driver, duh.
Yes, that's what I like about my bad translations, from German (gute Frage nächste Frage Well, do you mean when you sit down that the driver's model can't be seen? From the outside or inside
Is there any possibility to switch off the engines? I havent found any so far. And +1 for the mention that the street layout has been sloppy for ages. The streets are designed so badly that it really hurts the eyes and it downgrades each track so much.
Yes it annoys me on any route since a long time...but here it is just "in ya face!" like so I wanted to mention it here. Let's say the 642 was done with more love then other EMU's. But I wouldn't call it almost perfect. If you compare the work put into the Vectron or the 101 this is good but doesn't have the high standard of some other locos.
Yea but I think (personally) that the 642 is already perfect I would like to use it more often but the drivers are far too bright so especially the Ebula screen
How can anyone look at this and say "looks great, ready for release" in 2023? Old Trainz routes had more care put into them and better assets.
Talking about assets...this wooden fence is also a bit overused: This is all the same scene and same pause in photomode...
When you're sitting in the driver's cab, it's not that noticeable, I have to say. But: Just don't look too closely is the motto. I think that's a real shame. The fact that almost exclusively American cars can be seen here is the least of the problems. Don't get me wrong, I would much rather look around and think "wow that's great" at every corner.
As i tested the route (on pc) and i found some very annoying things: -BR612 cab light doesn´t work (since TSW3) -You cant uncouple the 642 or 612 -Ebula is always white which is annoying when driving at night -the throttle lever is very senstive -and the route looks very loveless and the hills look like from tsw 2 -the acceleration of the 642 is very bad compared to the real one in my opinion -642 isn´t substituting even without mods The list goes on and on when i play this route but i hope the most annoying things like the 612 cab light and the unability to uncouple will be fixed in near future. Also an little suggestion: a 245 or 285 would be very nice for freight services since you already have the traxx and only a few things would have to be changed. Kind regards
People still purchase these routes day one. You must have money to burn. Not this time for me, money is staying in my wallet. The roads and cars are a major issue across routes. How hard is it to make realistic roads? It’s rushed and slapdash.
Even bigger problem is the cars in Germany with yellow rear licence plates... And they have them on pretty much every German (and even US) routes.
Did you measure the distance to the Hauptsignal somehow or how do you know it's wrong? They're the same though, you can even find some leftover Munich markings on the Cologne one.
After roaming around on route for the evening: For the love of god.... DTG... this route is just loveless and sloppy. I completely understand that you, as a company, need to produce income and that creating routes is not an easy task and not every detail can be added because the route has to be profitable if you compare hours of work for creating the route and price we pay for it. I was born in Aschaffenburg and know the route very well. And although I know it is not possible to re-create each building, I am really shocked when I see how scruffy the route has been designed. I already mentioned the really bad street-layout which can be seen in every German route. But also the usage of the same assets over and over again is so disappointing. The grey, boring and dull buildings are so plain ugly. The design overall seems that the same assets are just randomly placed in the map without any love or passion. I know that not everyone can be made happy and not everything is perfect. But for me, the effort put especially in this route is unspeakably bad. Sorry for my rant but I am extremely disappointed. This quote sums up my experience so far: "I expected nothing and I am still let down."
Well, a wise decision in this case that it stays in your wallet. If me and other people wouldn't have spent money on it (which I regret but I'm over my 2 hours) you couldn't see people giving feedback of any sort and build your picture by the feedback. Over and over agains is the point...somehow it also feels so sterile... What platform are you on? The textures are not gone but low res., this indicates the textures are not fully loaded into vram or vram is full at that point. But it also has to do with "how" textures are handled in UE / especially TSW.
The repetition of assets is unforgivable. I not only recognise them from other German routes, some are from Midland mainline. The ballast is dire. How can it be this bad after four editions? Scenery is clearly unfinished - and like every DTG route it will never be finished. Still waiting for Brighton main line and West Somerset... Nidder and Blackpool have shown what is possible - this just isn't good enough DTG.
"Walld" should say "Walldürn" on the station PIS' ____________________________ Date format on the PIS is wrong ____________________________ the PIS on the train display is really misaligned and a bit too small (i've added a reference image on how it is supposed to look) when the FIS is set to "Nicht Einsteigen" the "RB88" should not be visible Other things: sensitivity for the throttle / brake switch to high you can step through closed doors please implement a toggle button for the EBula (maybe darkmode, but the original ebula irl doesn't actually have a darkmode too, so not necessary) you can drive with spring brake enabled the train PIS display is also to dark at daytime (check the irl image I attached, it's supposed to be bright at day and nighttime) Platform: PC
I've noticed that in the stream as well, interestingly for me the date is correct but the time is shown wrong: How is that possible?
This route has the same problems Main Spessart Bahn had (although, it affects every tsw 2020 route). When a manual junction is next to a signal, you can't change it via the map. It will simply snap to the signal. Come on guys, you just took MSB and erased everything west of Aschaffenburg and added to it, like you did with New York Trenton. (Although, this DLC is better overall than NYT)
Not sure if this has been posted already but it seems the MAINesiro-ble achievement is broken! Have driven it 70km according to the driver page so have covered the required distance! Yet another achievement that won't ever get fixed
If this is true, why didnt they just extend msb? Seems 5 steps back and 0 steps forward with this release.
The quality being shown here, this should have been put out as a Christmas freebie. Having briefly tried the route editor I know it’s not easy, but the people building this have more experience and should know what they are doing. Tramsim Vienna has its flaws and bugs but by comparison the route building and many custom objects cannot be faulted. To keep this on topic I thank those who have bought the route and suffered through the experience to post their feedback. As it stands, I don’t think this is even worth a purchase at sale price.
And they have now had six years of time to learn how to build streets for example or develop a tool for street building within the Editor. This is not the first route but overall the fifteenth german route (one being not from DTG) for example (besides the road problem consists nearly everywhere even on BPO). You are welcome Well I think it is mostly worth the EMU, not the route. So yes, it is something to pick in a sale...if you ever want to pick it. We will see if it will be "needed" for future add-ons or will be included with anouter route. I'm sure we will at least see the Desiro again with "ÖBB" on it...
Nice to see my post where I've stated I'd refunded the route because it doesn't live up to my standards got completely removed. Unwanted feedback. If you treat your customers as cheap labour to sort out the issues with your DLC, then I am out. I'm done with these kindergarten forums. Making a mistake is forgivable. Not learning from mistakes is not. I won't buy your bug ridden sloppy products any more DTG. Bye.
Just look at the Steam reviews, they've seen the overwhelming amount of criticism and the mostly negative responses about TSW 4 and the franchise in general, so they are starting to try clearing criticism and negative reviews. Almost like if they are anxious
The question should be instead about you, because you act like a white knight. If you do not respect the fact that criticism and negative opinions/facts exist, and if you cannot handle discussions that conflict with your own opinions and views, then please refrain from participating in such discussions. Thank you.
That is plain wrong and amounts to censorship, not moderation. DTG carry on down this road - releasing sub standard sub freeware quality content then supressing honest feedback, TSW will wither away and die - deservedly so.
Please look at the main game page, and you will see a lot of suspicious positive reviews that contain little to no actual content (either nothing saying and meaning or just word salad) and/or the review stating that the product was received for free. Some of the people solely review TS or TSW content with the same tactic. A lot of those profiles are also set to max privacy
Please go back to the topic and stop to argue about other things This is what Alex asking already: Hello everyone, can I ask that we keep all discussions in this thread on feedback for Maintalbahn, please. Opinions are good, and bug/issues reports are highly useful, but general chatter or squabbling between users will be removed as we need to keep these threads as clear to read through as possible. Thank you!
You literally started the whole arguing by always going to threads and "prove" people wrong for exercising their rights to criticize and say what they think about the game, content and what DTG does, you literally posted "What is wrong with you" towards Spikee for no apparent reason other than you being unable to handle any differences apart what you feel and think.
All I'm gonna say is, The route isn't immune to critism yes the argument of "If you don't like it don't buy it" is true since you can't/are not obligated to buy it. But the critism is well deserved and just because you don't have to buy it doesn't make it immune to critism we all have opinions about certain things, and yes we are entitled to the opinion about things, but the forum princesses on here are so soft to the point where they'll get upset over someone having a negative opinion about the route, it's pathetic really. Don't try to change the subject because someone isn't thinking the same way you think about the route
I don't blame you really. Utter LOVE like this is unacceptable at this point. There's something I hate more than anything and that's censorship of negative opinion or anyone's opinion in general, but to be honest the devs shouldn't be all butthurt because they released a garbage product. They got no one else to blame but themselves
How about DTG start to turn negatives into positives? In my line of work as a Principal UX I’d kill for this type of feedback to improve a product. In fact we usually have to dangle a carrot for participation. You have a wealth of information here at your fingertips that you can turn into a backlog. Success is garnered by winning hearts and minds - involve the community, be transparent and work through issues and you will get loyalty in return which means more sales and more slack when things do go wrong.
Just some quick feedback: - On Xbox Series X, the 642 is not showing for the Chemnitz route; also, just another bit of feedback/suggestion but can we please have the 642 to substitute services for Bremen as it's more realistic than the 612. - Regarding AI traffic at Aschaffenburg, the route article mentioned the ICE 1, however thus far I keep only seeing the ICE 3 which is odd as it's not even listed? - Please give us an option to use the 204, like what you did with the 612 if players really want too. I've always enjoyed the 204 with MSB and I think it's only fair to have it for Maintalbahn as it makes absolutely no sense not to have it included!
Will the 642 be layered on Niddertalbahn? I ran this in scenario creator and had a great time. The platforms are ideal length for a 2-car consist.
No the reason is already ask by other trains that this route is not build in the right time period..... You can use the scenario creating tool if you wish to use this train on this route.
Some problems with signals that I've noticed today while I was there irl. The middle Zs3 is supposed to be "8", because you are actually allowed to drive 80kmh there. (in Miltenberg) Including that, after the railroad crossing, you are allowed to drive 80kmh, not 60kmh After the railroad crossing in Miltenberg, there is supposed to be a Zs2v (and a Zs3 that shows "8" as I remember correctly) about there where I put the red marker at the Zs2v shows "O" if going to Aschaffenburg and "W" if going to Walldürn After the Mainbrücke in Miltenberg, this Signal has a Zs2 attached, which will show either "O" or "W" there was also a Zs3 with "8" too This is supposed to be a Zs3 and not a Lf 7. I know these are "small" things that probably no one cares about, but I just wanted to state them here so DTG might fix it to make it more realistic (which I don't think they'll do, but hoping is the only thing I can do).
