PC New Favourite Game (and An Apology)

So, I have been putting off Train Sim World 4 until 2 days ago when I decided to just chance it and get it, and you know what it is absolutely bloody amazing, I can't get enough of this game. So I know I have had a reputation of moaning at Dovetail often but now I have changed my mind and I can appreciate the work put into this, it is so much more worth the money than Train Sim World 3 in my opinion and can't wait to see the more DLC's coming in the future. Anyway onto a slightly different topic with Train Sim World 4 here is the level of detail, in other words outstanding. So as a Fire Alarm enthusiast aswell as train enthusiast seeing actual Apollo smoke detectors in the class 801 was literally like a kid on Christmas morning, aswell as a detail which might have been there in Train Sim World 3 but in the Hitachi depot in Ashford there is a working alarm on Slow Whoop tone as a train enters the depot (Which I only found out yesterday) and that pleases me, so keep up the good work Dovetail, as it pays off in the end!

Anyway onwards to the apology, so due to me being shall we say busy lately I haven't had the time to be on the forums as active as I usually would be but I will try and get more active again, soon.

TSW 4 implemented great ideas especially the really needed sandbox feature, improved the livery designer a lot, and so on. I really liked the Vorarlberg route and the newly released Maintalbahn route (even though it has it's shortcomings, but they are small enough for me to ignore), but it's overshadowed by the amount of bugs both existing ones and new (!!) ones despite testing, despite promising, some being promised since TSW 2 (!!!!!), AND community uproar. It's fine if they get fixed after a month, at maximum two months, but a lot of issues have yet TO BE addressed! Wrong passenger door side bug, services not working, graphics glitches like red glow on random places, etc.

 

Trains or not, but this forum never disappoints

 

completely agree but definitely adding in Z-Fighting to that, hoping that and others can get sorted with this winter core update.

I think Train Sim World 4 is great! I am intrigued that twice as many people disagree, though.
