Aww, no Pacers... that 37 looks amazing though.

Interesting, usually you guys wait until Thursday. I guess everyone got the hint too quickly.

From the images in this article, this route looks spectacular, probably the best so far, hopefully these images are representative of the whole route. The locomotives were certainly a surprise but the Class 37 looks great and so does the Class 08 and the freight wagons. I was hoping for the Class 142 to be featured, though this could be a future locomotive dlc instead. Overall this new route looks great!

Also, will the freight branch east from Saltburn to Boulby Mine be included?

Surprised it’s not set earlier. Would have been nice to have some crossover with NTP and substitution considering how nice that’s been for the German routes, but Trainload paint would be out of place on NTP.

Well i'm a little dissapointed we're getting the 101 again instead of the pacer, but I can't say no to a 37 now can I?

i was hoping for more crossover with NTP which is a shame but a 37 will sway me massively, as im sure it will for most of us!

On paper no, but remember it also includes Redcar Steel plant, which is one of the biggest in Europe, so there's alot of railway on that site.

A bit dissapointed that there's no 143 or 142, these were the staple passenger traction around 1989.

But otherwise, it looks like an impressive route

And *technically* the 3 car 101 us new, too... the one in NTP was the 2-car version.

Of course, not that new though.

yes i see your point, while technically new they are basically the same, however at least in this one you can sue the shunter on freight not just coaches

It's fine, I'm not complaining too much. I was hoping for a pacer, though... but the class 37 is definitely the star of this route, very interested in the freight services on this one!

Yea a better passenger train would have been better but it is clear that this route is about the freight

I suppose it depends on what the 27 miles contains.

Exactly its mainly a freight line so slower traffic and also more stuff to 'faff' with i would hope. The passenger is just to add a little variety but not the main focus. 08 is new actually its an 09 in WSR

Will we see a variety of sub sectors on the 37s? Coal and steel for starters. Or will the yards be sparse with 08s in BR blue and 37s in subsector metals. Wouldnt matter if the loco generator put out the wrong sector on a loco. It happened all the time. Thats a concern of mine.

This looks like it’s going to be an amazing route. I’m very excited for this!!! I also love the look of these Steel wagons!

Out of curiosity, what are the key differences between the 08 and the 09? I'm pretty sure the 09 is bigger but other than that i'm not sure.

This looks good. When I first started with Train Simulator and Train Sim World this winter, I was into passenger rail. I always loved freight locomotives, especially the fearsome-looking ones in North America, but for sim, I preferred passenger.
CSX on Train Sim World was so incredible to me. There are so many things to do that it changed my perspective and I now love both passenger and freight.
I am looking forward to this new route!

Looks right up my street, industrial stuff and 37s...
...but something about the nose oft the37 doesn't look right, I think it's the curve between the top arc and the vertical side is too sharp. Ends up making the whole thing look not quite right. Presume it won't be fixed at this late stage
It's be nice to have a coal sector machine for the HEAs too

27 miles is far for this game. That's why I like for any important routes like major passenger corridors, high speed, and famous routes to be done in TS. Because in TS, there's at least a chance of the route being long enough. Still, this is worth a look I guess. Probably won't spend full price on it, but I'm not saying I'll never buy it and check it out.

I think we can all agree that it’s always nice to have new content to look forward to no matter what your preferences are. Can’t wait for them to announce a date so I can count the days!

Should be done. Would need a BR livery though. Same with the Coal wagons. Theres a class 40, tanks and coal wagons listed for Leeds Manchester dlc.

The Railfreight grey livery on these was not introduced until years after NTP takes place.

Great, 43 km (27 miles)? I hope there are several different lines, especially in width, for the 27 miles to be tolerable

Hope the new 101 (though slightly different to NTP) mileage counts towards the trophy for 1001 miles

As with Leeds station we have locos and stock parked stationary to give the station a mainline feel. How about an Intercity 47 with a mix of Intercity liveried MK2 coaches? Just to break up the 101 arrives 101 leaves scenario.

Well, there is a freight DLC for NTP in the works at least. Class 40 and possibly 08.

I could see a class 56 with newer coal wagons working out here and in NTP, in large logo livery perhaps.

56 would be nice. The simple solution for me would me to add more liveries to the 37s, scatter reskinned 47s everywhere. Parcels sector in or outside big stations. Freight, engineers, BR blue in the yards, subbing for coal trains or just parked up.

Well that was quick, only one teaser ;)? Everyone had it pegged so im assuming it wasnt tease worthy much longer.

Looks great though, you had me at 37.
The pics are quite nice, the hoppers in the shed area has me very interested

Post scriptum: the photo of the 101 looks like a bus passing the tunnel underneath, safe to assume moving automobiles?

i agree the 37 could be done with the BR livery. if they can change liveries on MSB and RSN it can be done with the 37 to run on NTP

One of things that has been really lacking from the more recent releases has been any real variation in things to do, with both the scenarios and services being end to end runs or parts of. Hopefully this route will allow for some proper shunting and some more interesting and different services / scenarios to be created. The New York route with the trash trains proves this can be done within the game, more of this please!!

Since DTG doesen't make timetables (anymore), we'll have to wait until the community makes one.

37/5's didn't exist in 1983, they had yet to be converted from 37/0's and the livery is from October 87 onwards.

Massively excited but there should be more liveries on the 37 as there were at that time and the 47 from NTP should be in it too.
