I’m guessing potentially Ipswich to Norwich with the Sudbury Branch. Includes the GEML which the 321s ran on and the Sudbury Branch which the 156s used

I just fired up the screenshots and actually I just want to adjust what I said previously as the 321/322 does seem to be ahead to the 156, though they were still both basic models.

I honestly don't know how long locos/ units take to make, so haven't a clue.

The Sudbury branch starts at Marks Tey which is further south then Ipswich and 321's didn't go to Norwich very often, mainly class 90/mk3's.

Ah fair play. Not my neck of the woods in any way haha. Maybe something between Ely and Cambridge then?

Would love to see the Chiltern Mainline, modern era class 68 thrash would be great.

You could be on to something there Vern. The fact that there were no Buffet cars then makes it an almost certainty :D

That's the only modern route that will also satisfy fans of classic traction. The 68s are quite old school. They sound like thunder and your body vibrates when you're next to one departing.
I think it would be a phenomenal route. And the 165 should be pretty easy to adapt from the 166 so it wouldn't be a one train route.

If we're talking about the Chiltern line it should come with a 168 as well (2, 3 and 4 car variants).

You could go for the Felixstowe branch, that starts at Ipswich and has a large amount of freight traffic too.

My guess is the 156 will be for the Midland Mainline as the 158 currently substitutes in for some 156 services.

Class 156 could be Newcastle to Carlisle or more realistically Hexham, particularly as a deal with JT could see the 142 sub in on the stopping services.

sounds like a big station for a quiet route that one, I remember waiting 2hrs and 30mins for that train at Hartlepool and it was not late, it was just the next one (back when it was class 142)

Newcastle Hexham is only 24 miles! You're probably be right!
Newcastle Carlisle is nearer 60 miles and whilst I've no objection to a 142, and whilst not unknown, 143's were the mainstay on the line.
Does off the opportunity for the azuma as they're regularly diverted.

I'd love to share these screenshots, however I were asked not to. As I said before when they came up in speculation the person is a member on this forum and if they say I can share them I will, but for the time being, a man's word and all that kerfuffle that your taught as child!
In all honesty there is not inkling as to what they could be for apart from the light clusters on 156 are of this arrangement:

And the 321/322 light clusters looking like this:

Just to cover myself these are random Google images which have the correct headlight clusters, not one of the TSW images!

Like I say I really would like to share them but for now your just going to have to take my word and go from there I am afraid.

After a bit of google searching it could even be a 320 by the looks of it. To me this would make sense actually as they seem to have contained themselves relatively well in Scotland, and appear to still have the light cluster shown above in the current ScotRail livery and pictures of them with this light cluster are easier to find than 321s/322s are. Sadly, as said previously, my knowledge of second gen MUs is rather lacking so this doesn't really mean much to me.
Image of a 320 with the light cluster shown in the screenshots, again this is a real image from google, not a TSW one:

If dtg are hyping it up this much I'm thinking it's ethier a big mainline route everyone wants:
    Wcml

Or a not so mainline route but with tones of cool new features like gaurd Mode.

I would very much like a Scottish route though. Something like fife circle could be a good route to trial gaurd Mode on anyway, with all stock having gaurds pannels (modern day) and not too long gaps between stations with some brilliant scenery to look at along the way.

Given the route will likely come with only one new train, I hope it's one that overlaps with an existing route, and can layer in stock from that (and ideally vice-versa).

320/321/322 + 156 hardly makes any sense for WCML.

    320 ÷ 321 ÷ 322 + 156 = 156.003095

    Class 156/1 (rounded up) confirmed

Who says dtg are making that. Who says that's what all the hype is about. It could be something entirely different for all we know.

There is a poll in the TSW article section saying if players complete X amount of services/scenarios/drive x amount of miles then they will start teasing next year's routes on this month's roadmap.

oh I hadn’t seen that, thank you. Best I do some driving then as I’d love to see a 321 (or 320) and 156 if they are being built.
