PC Tod3 Overhead Lines Flicker When Stop Walking

    anyone know a solution? is DTG aware of this? it appears not to be a DX12 issue because it also occurs on DX11

    It’s been an issue since the day this game released nearly 7 years ago. Another of the things that have never been rectified, just churn out DLC after DLC with the same old problems. It’s particularly bad on GWE unfortunately and is present in ToDv4 routes too.

    Is that not just the problem with thin lines on the display meaning that you end up attempting sub-pixel rendering, which means things blink in and out - which we have a solution for in newer routes (its not a TOD3/TOD4 thing, its a separate thing that went in as of TSW4 routes plus one or two others like Kassel and LGV).

    You can seriously mitigate it if you have the CPU/GPU by upping the screen percentage to a higher level - because then it has more data about these very thing lines to work from.

    I find FXAA is a more stable image and thus you wont see the flicker much, but the quality isn't as good.

    It still happens in ToDv4 routes too though, it’s virtually no different to ToDv3.
