The work looks transformational, judging from the screenshots. The team deserve a pat on the back. It doesn't however excuse how long PS5 players have had to wait to simply play the route without it crashing. Hopefully if the route is stable, with all the work done on it it'll probably be my 2nd or 3rd favourite route in TSW.
I don’t condone the state the route was released in, but if all of this works, it’s a massive transformation. So a cautious well done. I look forward to seeing it.
You know what, considering the 'situation' which has overshadowed the route, you have certainly made some good improvements to the route and it is certainly looking much better, so for that a definite thanks is needed as I am sure it has not been an easy few months for you mate! Look forward to the update coming out, but also the 'exciting news' as well.
Fair play LucaZone , that is that is what I call a redemption ark. That looks like an incredible overhaul that your team did with the help of londonmidland. Very, very nice to see. As you can see by my profile picture, was already one of my favourite routes, but this looks to elevate it even further.
Looking forward to the update. It's my local line so I play this route a lot. Will be delighted if Skyhook extend the route and we can have a run upto Sheffield and maybe all the way down to St Pancras one day.
Oh yes, perhaps not quite as excited then, but still, providing this update does go smoothly I am looking forward further into the future to see what proper stuff they have up their sleeves. So am I, a 222 and 156 really would both be great additions to the route.
Quite impressed by those changes. I could be tempted to buy the route now. Will have to wait for player feedback first though (and a discount/sale).
https://skyhookgames.com/coming-soo...YU-ZajkaTUwK_bF1U5EUBsIZd97Bnfp3RKXb0Ibrkzizw Yet another 66, Dont get me wrong but I am looking forward to the pack, extra scenarios and timetable services especially for GWE. But we really need another Freight loco. I am so looking forward to Formation designer to be released. Double headed 37's on everything!!!! Hentis.
A Class 56 or 70 are overdue and in the case of the former could layer onto TVL and NTP with a BR livery variant. And not forgetting the Class 60 either.
Not to mention, we can finally give the 31 and the 20 the Passenger Consists they deserve. I already have in mind what I want to do in a certain scenarios in mind with the Class 31 and Class 20 and ESPECIALLY the Class 37s. But something interesting I want to do personally is see if we can use the Class 47 with the Mark 3 Coaches
The HST version of the Mk3 has only a buckeye coupling. You'll need to use one of the Mk2s as a match vehicle. IRL, the ETH system is also incompatible; the HST supplies three-phase AC while locomotives supply either DC or single-phase AC at a different voltage. The loco-hauled version of the Mk3 has a motor-generator set to convert the locomotive supply to the HST version.
My sincerest apologies. Just realised wrong thread hahahahaha. Thought I was in the Maintalbahn post release thread
A thought to Mr. Lucas, as you come out with the update to this route as well as the freight car/wagon pack, could SHG look at making the power plant accessible for deliver/pickup of coal hoppers and cars, further switching/shunting within it confines.
Great suggestion on unloading and loading facilities. I too would like to see this, as I only have a glimpse of passing it at speed in real life. Watch this space
Waiting for the patch to reach me on Steam and looking forward to seeing what Adam and his team has done for myself. His before and after pictures have made me want to play the route again.
Same here. Only play it modded on TSW3 at the moment. If its good, I might get it for PlayStation as well.
That switch is still not fixed at Nottingham station and I reported it: I really lost any patience and hope, for any fix on that route but I have to say congratulations you did a good job. The Class 158 can be used with the 142 without brakes being locked, the scenery looks better and it’s really nice to finally being able to drive the HST, without constant crash and super bright lighting from coaches. Thanks again for everyone involved
Just completed HST service 1D17 without issues. The updated environment really looks great, thanks LM for your help to SHG in this.
Loving the new rain effects and lighting on the 158/HST. Going to become one of my most Driven routes now.
Yep it was investigated and attempts were made to fix it, even with the aid of the DTG track master Rob, but we were unsuccessful. We might not be able to fix this one.
Hiya, Can you provide more detail? What HST service? What HST (livery)? weather and date settings? Cheers
Is the update also out for TSW3? If so, might get the route in the near future, as the preview screenshots looked really nice.
1D45 15:42 St Pancras- Nottingham in the 2+8 configuration. Weather was custom, light clouds with no alterations I don't remember the date but it was in the winter sometime.
It's such a shame how Rivet Games can't do this with the Class 150. If even Skyhook can do something like this then this only shows how much Rivet games have fallen behind in the competition
Did they do something to the timetable? It seems now you only get 30 seconds to set up your train and open doors when you start a service. Considering it takes around 15 seconds to close the door and let the guard do their checks, this is not enough time at all. This means you always leave late and possibly finish late too if there's no extra time in the pathing to catch up. This is referring to the class 158 services.
It doesn't look like the windscreen wipers are working on the HST, not clearing the screen... Now this is on the Training Centre intro mission (the only Journey I had left to do!) but presumably the same on the route itself.
LucaZone I just ran the service as above and worked fine. Same settings just used today's date. My TSW is installed on an internal 2tb SSD drive. Looks great with the new updates. Although it took me a while to figure on what the Track monitor was doing. Hentis
This is looking very nice. I am not getting tired of that HST, though I do want to give the 158 a bit more attention as it is a great unit.
