German broadcaster NDR has a series about people who work at night this week. Yesterday they featured the people who repair the tracks. For that, they pull up the tracks, remove the gravel and crush it on site to use it as foundation and then put new gravel into the tracks, all on one train. Pretty amazing.

Yesterday morning, an inbound CTA Yellow Line train rear-ended a snow remover going in the same direction on the same track. About three dozen people hurt, nothing life-threatening. How does that happen?

At least the US goes all out for Train Dec's unlike the UK.

 

That is very much the exception and not the rule with our railroads. Mainly the tourist railroads do "Santa" trains, Canadian Pacific has their Holiday Train that does fundraising and donates to the less fortunate, and on occasion you get some commuter railroads that will decorate. I'm guessing this was for a special event though, especially with the Acela all decked out.

The way I would rank the announcers from Boston it would be equal or better than New York City yet equal to the German DB Baureihe 442 (red and silver) 425 423 Doppelstockwagen 767.2 766.2 780 785 642 612 Ingo Ruff.

If you compare the Boston Orange Line announcer Frank Oglesby to LGV Méditerranée platform announcer Simone Hérault the longer you listen to Simone's voice you get bored of it on the other hand you would enjoy Frank Oglesby. the same way as how BKL Emma Clarke Deutsche Bahn Ingo Ruff Österreicher Bundesbahn Chris Lohner are liked by the railfan world.​

The Blue Line runs like the Thameslink SEHS In game due to a voltage change. At airport towards Wonderland you actually switch to OHLE from Third Rail inside the train electric train heating turned off towards downtown Bowdoin OHLE for Third Rail. Between Maverick and the airport station there is a neutral section which means you go through it then stop. I wonder if the devs are capable of doing it. On the green line I would rather have a type 8 Tram due to it being a low floor design with more space than a Type 7 tram. If you put in the baseball rivalry between the Boston Red Sox and New York Yankees the MBTA Type 8 sounds the same as a R142A 4 train
