Hi... I did not noticed that. But I do not drive an ICE1 there, with free roam mode yet. On my drive with the Scotman, I arrives to Aschaffenburg. But I will check it.
Dude Here is what I tried and accomplished: Aachen - Koln with this consist - Taurus in the front + 14 coaches from BR103 consist + another Taurus + another 5 coaches from BR103 consist (wanted to add more, but ran out of room in around the station lol)... one day I might try a consist with 3 Taurus-es, I guess with ZDS it will work? 32car consist made of 4x RailBow ICE3s - with a caveat - this iteration of ICE3, if you do more than 2x consist, sends LZB and AFB into a state of madness, and you can drive this, but only with AFB turned off my best and most wicked achievement yet is a 32car consist of BR403s, aka spawn 2x 16car consist, open hatches, couple together, everything works like a charm except half the passengers will have to walk to the station across a dangerous network of switches and tracks lmao *laughs in evil* ... I would try more, but - sometimes changing cabs bugs out and spawns me below map (instant restart necessary) OR I am tired of walking so much to the front cab... on one of those loooong days I might just try creating a 64car consist LOOOL
You are wondering why I selected the Metrolink locomotive for a freight train??!! 2 reasons: - This locomotive has break system selector, with "Freight" mode. Note: of course train length not must be so long. - I drove almost the full length of Cajon Pass route, much more faster than a proper heavy freight one! So it took me much less time. The first part I did it, using containers freight cars. More pictures:
Special situation: 2 long freight trains coming from opposite direction! One of BNSF, but the other on the upper UP tracks! This deserved a special photo section:
Finally arriving to San Bernardino passenger station. (Despite on real world, is the end of the passenger service... but this is "Free Roam" ) Hope you liked and try it!.
I noticed the freight setting on the F125 another idea put 2 or 3 on a longer intermodal be neat to see someone do a BNSF or UP maybe CSX NS F125
Yes...I thought about it. But as a first try, I just do it with just one locomotive. I will try later with more F125s. Thanks
It's been a while since I've played MSB, and while the scenery does look outdated, my word is the route still very enjoyable after all these years thanks to the constant twists, turns and gradient changes! This was my 425 service from Lohr Bahnhof to Aschaffenburg:
I wish I knew how to set up those long multiloco US freight trains... but then, I was able to create true EU monsters with 2 Tauruses or 2x 16car ICE 403s lol
Has anybody tried DB BR 401 on free roam? I've tried it in MSB, and Munchen-Augsburg and in both cases it gaves me wrong side track. Am I doing sometnihg wrong or there is problem with 401? I've tried it with DB BR 403 and did not have this problem.
I had a similar problem on Koln Aachen... when setting destination, you just gotta figure out correctly which platform is for intercity/longer trains, so it sets you a correct path, aka where you actually get on an LZB section and then later get off it
That happens several times with the great Free roam feature. But it is easy to solve it You have to select over the locomotive again, and then there is an option about like "select a specific point" or something like that. Sorry do not remember the exact name.. Then with that option selected, you click over the right side track for that country, or where you wants to arrive.. After that I suggest you to check the rest of the route!. Due to sometimes the path changes to the other side again, due to there is switch in the middle.
I am back again with another Free Roam adventure, this time it is on Rhein-Ruhr Osten, enjoy!!! Route: Rhein-Ruhr Osten Player train: DB BR 182 + DB BR 101 with IC coaches AI trains: DB BR 422, MRCE BR 185.5, DB G6 + MRCE BR 185.5 convoy Hagen-Wuppertal: ^ Hagen ^ Schwelm ^ Wuppertal-Barmen ^ Wuppertal Hbf Running around at Steinbeck Yard (Wuppertal Hbf to Wuppertal Hbf): Wuppertal-Hagen: ^ Wuppertal Hbf ^ Schwelm West ^ Ennepetal ^ Haspe, Hagen I hope you have enjoyed my latest adventure, it all took 1 hour to complete from Hagen to Hagen via Wuppertal, tell me what you think of my trip and I'll see you for the next one (whenever I do it), so until then, it's goodbye
I've been using it to create free roam rail tours like the one I did for Railfan Tv last week. That and putting almost any train I feel like almost anywhere I feel like it with little to no effort.
tho sometimes when I do stuff on LZB routes, it matters a TON which platform you select as destination - if you select a regio or such platform, you can be in for a bad time lol, as the LZB kicks you out very soon with low speeds
Idea Submission I have gone out and bought the Peak forest pack and the West somerset Railway pack. I have loaded up on free roam on the West Somerset route and tried putting down a Fowler 4F from the other pack I purchased. The issue I was having is that I wanted to put down a preserved 4F locomotive so it fits within the preserved location and found there is no way to change the locomotive that has spawned or choose what number can be spawned. I have read in previous games there was a feature to double click the front driving wheel and this would let you make those changes (I may be wrong on this). I do know there is a livery editor and I could make the locomotive I desire, but this seems a long drawn out process when the game automatically changes the number randomly between different locomotives. There is also an ID menu on the pause screen with could have the ability to change the locomotive details I think you could walk up to the drivers position and press E (Like you are ready to drive) and then press escape which will bring up the pause menu. From here you could add an ability to edit the locomotive number on the overview menu and either select from a list of numbers or type the number you want in and this would save to the model of the loco. For simple locomotives like the 4F which doesn't have nameplates this would be rather easy but understand on other locomotives like the Western's (Diesels) these are all named so maybe the name would be automatic for anything that is matches a correct class of that locomotive or even give the option to add a name as long as it didn't go over the size of the nameplate Again, thanks for taking the time to read this and hope it makes it into the game CJ
Idea Submission: I have recently purchased TSW4 and have been enjoying playing on the scenarios that have been included. I am personally struggling to get into making my own scenarios as I am finding the way this works difficult to understand (A tutorial on this within the game would be really helpful). I decided to move over to the free roam mode on Crewe to Liverpool map and started working out how to put down a locomotive and rolling stock to start creating my own world. I was finding it interesting to come up with my own tasks and started to learn how to map out these tasks while playing within the free roam so I could actually move on through red lights (This took longer than I feel it should). I am also an avid gamer and know I am just a small voice within a sea of many people but I do hope you see this at some point. So here is my idea: 1. Add a new mode to the game that is similar to the free roam mode but have random trains following out instruction to add a bit of traffic. (Spawn in locomotive and rake - follow a path to a station or yard - wait at final location to be out of view distance) This could include having de-spawn spots around that map that a loco and rake of coaches can disappear away from normal view or wait at a current location until it is out of view distance before de-spawning. 2. Add in a system that gives players a random task that they are able to complete. (Examples) - Move a random set of freight wagons from 1 location to another - Take a set of coaches from the station where they have been left and into the coach sidings - Recover a broken down train - create a rake of coaches and move to a station ready for departure You could even add a menu that allows the player to select the type of random task they want (Passenger, freight, short, long, etc). This would give points based upon the score for doing that task and how well you carried it out 3. As more content is bought (New locomotives or rolling stock that would go with certain routes) these would be added to the list of items that can be spawned or generated with the tasks that. You could also have additional tasks within the locomotive packs that you sell on the store. You could even add in anything that has been downloaded from the creator club manually to a list of possible locomotives or rolling stock that can be used by the system. 4. Players can keep coming back to the world they have shaped and created seeing items that they have left being moved to a de-spawn location or a new location. If you do take the time to read this and consider it, then I do thank you for your time. I hope this becomes a feature as it would make a massive difference to how the game is currently played Thanks CJ
Idea Submission Map: West Somerset Mode: Freeroam Idea: Please could you open the doors on the shed buildings as some of these being permanently closed makes some of the rails completely inaccessible. One example of this would be the small shed at Dunster which means the sidings next to the platform is off limits even though you can place locomotives on it. I understand this would mean updating the models to have insides but this makes big difference when trying to make your own scenarios or play free roam
also did a run like that it can be rather hardcore without AFB helping and on Kassel Wurzburg it seemed to have a hard time with the gradients, losing a lot of speed, despite the big power and 6axles... but still an interesting ride
May already have been suggested but, whilst perusing all the lines I have on which to go run the festive version of the Jubilee train on, I was reminded of the Holiday Express line. Had fun running all sorts of non electrical trains round the living room as if it was a model railway.
Hi! I didn't think it would work. I spawned The Flying Scotsman with train at Bromsgrove. Then I spawned the 4F behind and coupled it to the rear coach. And, lo and behold!. After double whistle from The Scotsman, brake released and when i opened the the throttle BOTH engines started their work up the Lickey Incline. Scotsman did manage up at 5 mph before, but now I got up to at least 10 mph and more. But you must have the 4F behind to make it work. As far as I know.
I have another Free Roam pictures, on another german route: Rapid Transit, but with the Talent 1 from S-Bahn Vorarlberg, but using a nice DB repaint instead.
The Beluga plane appears around Rackwitz station, as shown on one of the pictures. Here you have the route map, in order to look where it is located But please notice the following facts: 1- You have to obtain the Mastery for the route, before!. 2 - The plane is the prize for it. 3 - Beluga not always appears. Note: I have passed by that point several times, and just saw it once before! Even I have waited stopped at the station for 10 minutes and nothing happened. I do not know if this have changed lately. I was lucky to see it coming this time! So good luck.
the Ryde pier tram that now lives on the steam railway (1 car at moment in service). using the livery designer and free roam the get the pace on the steam railway from Smallbrook
On Hamburg - Lubek route, there is a branch line near Hamburg for the freight trains. But there, near the end.., you can see there is a small yard and depot for the Dostos + locomotive passenger services. So I thought that was great, to do some "Free Roam movements"! I mean... take one of those trains, and maneuver in order to take them to Hamburg Hbf! I found a problem at the beginning. Those trains are not accessible! Due to you get the message, ... "you reached the limit of the created area" (something like that), despite the area is created. I did not give up, so then I decided to use free roam, and create a BR 146 + Dostos after that area. The first attempt... I failed!. Due to I could create the consist, but could not enter to the locomotive! Due to ... "I reached the limit of the area..." Ok I move forward and finally I could get it on. Then I have to go through the switches and prepare to move backwards. (As is the only way to get the mainline) In order to make it more interesting, I leave the locomotive and go to Dosto cab car. Made all the set up, and drive up to the mainline. There I change again to the locomotive, and drove to Hamburg Hbf. I changed the BR146 by a BR 193 Vectron on DB colors. And finally I starts the full trip to Lubeck Here you have some pictures!
i got the TEA tankers DLC today ..im goig to try running a longer train of them in free roam ..maybe double then triple or more the length of the 24 wagons in the timetable
Please tell me about it!. As I am interested in buying them. I wold like to know, if they can be added to a German locomotive too. In order to use also with free roam on other European countries. Both countries - inluding UK - it has chain couplers, so it should be possible. I believe might be possible, but ... just in case. Could you be so kind to check that?. Thanks in advance!.
Yes...please try it!. It will take some time, but it was a very interesting drive to me. Even to refresh how to set up the locomotive and Dosto cab cars, from running on both directions.
havent had chance to do much yet. I did test spawn in free roam on MML let me spawn class 66 and 24 green tea tankers so
also i dont know how or if it will work on other routes or locos for now anythig i try will be just on MML ..but put this idea out here to share with others to consider trying experiment with it
For many years Intercity, and then Virgin Cross Country, operated class 47-hauled services from the North-West to Brighton, running via Reading and Kensington Olympic, and joining the Brighton Mainline at Clapham Junction. Using Free Roam it is now possible to re-create the Clapham Junction to Brighton section of these runs. In real life the 47s continued these duties into the early 2000s, and there was than a short period when HSTs were used, before Voyagers took over. Below is the schedule of 1O30 07:17 Manchester Piccadilly to Brighton, taken from the September 2019 Working Timetable. It was timed for a Class 47 + 7 mk2s. Time in brackets is recovery time. SL means Slow Line, and FL means Fast Line. All times not in bold are passing times. The train wasn't scheduled to call at Clapham Junction. Personally I enjoy the Clapham Junction to East Croydon section, so I start the train from there, in the most easterly platform (which is the one it would always have to pass through at slow speed, having come from Kensington Olympia). However, if you prefer to take over the train at the first scheduled stop, you can start from East Croydon. In timetable mode, spawning shortly before departure time and running in the scheduled times (or attempting to...) it's an interesting run, with some signal checks, and the benefit of having a much better view of the route than you get through the narrow windscreen of the 377 (aside from the fact that thrashing up and down the banks in a 47 is really no comparison to a boring EMU!) The way I approach it is to always set the route only to the next scheduled stop, in each case setting the next section of route about a minute before departure time, so that the train doesn't claim the route ahead of other services in an unrealistic way. However, you could alternatively just set the whole route to Brighton from the start. Personally I don't place waypoints to force the train to use the scheduled lines (Fast/Slow Line) as I like the random element of not knowing which crossovers I'll be routed through, but it would be possible to force the booked route if you wanted to. If this run proves of interest to people, I'll dig out the schedule for the return journey too.
I made a trip driving on the SEHS up to Margate, but with a Class 800 instead, using the nice TPE paint scheme, from Creator's Club. When arriving there, I decided to use "free roam" to take the train to the service area!. Yes, it is not electrified by overhead wire. But remember, Class 800 it has also a diesel engine for slow movements, like that. Even I washed the train!... Here you have the pictures...
