Sorry, I've looked for help on this but can't seem to find any. I'm a novice who has started the SE Highspeed Run Scenario. Followed it step by careful step until the point at which I'm instructed to apply some power. I do that (power level 1) and the train does not move. Getting very frustrated. Any help appreciated please !
I just had a quick look, and am not running into any issues (on Xbox). The only thing I can suggest is, are you aware that the control for power is also the brake? You have to move the lever back far enough that you come out of the brake (these are the yellow numbers on the HUD that countdown from 10 to 1) before you then reach the accelerator portion ((white numbers 1 to 4 - zero being coasting)
Is the circuit closed? Sometimes have to press the pan up shoes down button at the start of the journey to close the circuit. if it’s not that or the suggestions above, maybe post a screenshot and sure someone will be able to give you a solution.
Thanks all - got it going after four attempts. Why 'four' I don't know, but obviously it was me. I suspect the press to set the MCB might have been too short or too long (?) - but then why would the scenario move to the next step each time if there was a mistake like that in the previous step. Anyhow, no matter, I got all the way to the end of the line plus the next three scenarios so I'm a happy bunny again !
Check to see if both of the buttons circled in red are lit. If they are both lit hold the button circled in green for 5-10 seconds and then only one should be lit and you'll be good to go. I presume you have the doors shut, key in, etc. Edit: Sorry the post above didn't show, hopefully this will still be of help to someone though.
Probably shouldn't go off-topic like this, so feel free to slap my hand and tell me to post a separate question .... The Javelin's TVM430 shows limits/warnings in KPH, whilst the HUD shows speed in MPH. And according to the DLC manual, that's just the way it is (so I presume there are no settings to change it to all-imperial). It just occurs to me that if this is the way it is on a real Class 395 (assuming the speedo gauge reads back in MPH), then UK drivers must be having to do more brainwork to think in both KPH and MPH simultaneously ?
Yes, it will only show KPH, however the in cab speedo will show KPH on the High Speed sections and MPH on the domestic lines so go by that. I would imagine it doesn't really affect them as there are much more important things to look out for when driving, though I don't know any SE drivers to ask.
