There are always ways for a account recovery. You just need to put some effort into it, and make appropriate tickets with the MS customer support. They will go with you through a account recovery procedure.
I assume that you're talking about the account you bought Train Sim World on. If you're talking about your Dovetail account (which I doubt) it doesn't matter. It isn't impossible. I'm not sure what data leak you're talking about - a hacked account maybe?
And no it is not the dtg account. It is the hotmail account from Microsoft. Has something to do with the credentials at risk. So my account has been block. And a pain to get back. I remember my user name and password.that the odd thing about so I have to continue to fill out that form which they keep telling me that the information I provided isn’t sufficient. So I have to keep trying.
As long you didn't use some throw away email to register your account it shouldn't be much of an issue if you just follow the instructions. Assuming you are the rightfull owner of the bespoken account in first place, and are able to legitimate yourself as such one.
I had a similar issue with an MS hotmail email account and I never got it resolved, even using my recovery email and giving them all the info they required. The issue with mine though wasn't a security issue, it was just that I'd forgotten the password and wanted to reset it.
first time this ever happened to me. Don’t know how long I can hold with this. I read few about how some say you got to keep writing them. I know my password and username but they put a block on me to protect the account. The detected some activity which is odd because I only use it for gaming.
