Creation Sharing Devdiary#3: Dieselnetz Sachsen - Anhalt ( Magdeburg - Thale ) Eingestellt

Today I'll briefly introduce what I'm doing and why I'm already coming to you!

I am building a map that is quite interesting in nature and history. So the map includes the section between Magdeburg,Blankenburg,Potsdam and Thale.

What makes the route so interesting for TSW?

Well, with this map, the state capital of Saxony-Anhalt and a tourist town Thale with a cable car and the well-known Bodetalsperre and Hexentanzplatz will be integrated into TSW for the first time.

What exactly will be included?

According to the team's planning, the RE11, RE21, RE31, RB43 and a large part of the HBX to Potsdam will be included. These lines will also include an Alstom Lint41 in TSW for the first time.

Are add-ons required?

Until today's initial planning, the RapidTransit addon will be required in any case.

In what time frame will the game be played?

As we have planned it so far, the present will be recreated from the year 2023-24!

What makes the route so special now?

The diesel line is one of the oldest lines in Germany and connects Quedlinburg with 1. a World Heritage Site 2. the Harz Narrow Gauge Railway (teaser).

With this route we want to represent the East and its beautiful offside routes, and hope to give a small overview of the coming months with this small introduction!

Heute werde ich kurz vorstellen, was ich mache und warum ich schon zu euch komme!

Ich baue gerade eine Karte, die von der Natur und der Geschichte her recht interessant ist. Also die Karte umfasst den Abschnitt zwischen Magdeburg,Blankenburg,Potsdam und Thale.

Was macht die Strecke so interessant für TSW?

Nun, mit dieser Karte werden erstmals die Landeshauptstadt Sachsen-Anhalts und die Touristenstadt Thale mit einer Seilbahn und der bekannten Bodetalsperre und dem Hexentanzplatz in den TSW integriert.

Was genau wird enthalten sein?

Nach den Planungen des Teams werden der RE11, RE21, RE31, RB43 und ein großer Teil des HBX nach Potsdam einbezogen. Auf diesen Strecken wird auch erstmals ein Alstom Lint41 im TSW eingesetzt.

Sind DLC erforderlich?

Nach dem heutigen Stand der Planung wird das Addon RapidTransit auf jeden Fall benötigt.

In welchem Zeitrahmen wird das DLC nachgestellt werden?

So wie wir es bisher geplant haben, wird die Gegenwart ab dem Jahr 2023-24 nachgespielt!

Was macht die Strecke jetzt so besonders?

Die Diesellinie ist eine der ältesten Strecken in Deutschland und verbindet Quedlinburg mit dem Weltkulturerbe, Ab dem Bahnhof verläuft für ca 1-2 Kilometer die Harzer Schmalspurbahn (Ist auch in Planung, Erwarten noch Rückmeldung).

Mit dieser Strecke wollen wir den Osten und seine schönen Nebenstrecken repräsentieren und hoffen, mit dieser kleinen Einführung einen kleinen Überblick über die kommenden Monate zu geben!

Zunächst einmal geht ein großes Dankeschön an Abellio in Sachsen-Anhalt für die Unterstützung!

Can you give a few answers about:

What will be the length of the route? From what I understood your will span over the southwest of Magdeburg all the way up to Potsdam, that's pretty far isn't it?
Will the route go over Brandenburg an der Havel and through the seas of Potsdam, or is the Potsdam you mean a different one than the one close to Berlin?
(By the way you also can attach photos or link photos to your main post to clarify that)

How many people are you in total working on the route and what is your background in game developement and are you a official third party game developer already?
You said thank you Abellio for their support. Does that mean you even cooperate with a real railway operator for your project?

A few personal impressions:

1.

Does that mean you are going to build the Lint 41 with your team? Oh, man. That would be so amazing! I already made a proposal for the Alstom Coradia LINT 27/41 in the suggestion forum. I would really need that one for my own route as well. If you can make that happen, that would be unbelievable good.

2.

I would not limit myself to that DLC only. When RapidTransit were released, the quality of assets were really not that good. In fact it's the oldest german DLC dating more than 6 years now. I can recommend you to take a look at the Niddertalbahn DLC. There are a lot of useful high quality assets in there, because stock DTG assets can be some times just of too low quality or even be not sufficient in quantity and diversity enough.

1. Who is "we"? How many people are inviolved in that project?
2. Also it actually sounds almost like an official annoucement. Are you guys planning to become a 3rd party?

Does that mean you already have a license from Abellio? Or officially allowed to record reference material?

Hi, so we are 3 people and not 3rd party developers it's more of a project to bring people closer to the Harz Mountains.

and with Abellio, we only got approval for the logos and no cooperation, Abellio is a Partner for Picture etc.

Hi Servus,

So yes, we are building from Thale to Potsdam via the Havel and Brandenburg main station, which is about 180 km. We are also planning to go as far as Berlin main station.

And because Abellio is a real partner from whom we have the pictures and also route network information, also from slow stations etc!

and the Lint will be added in a later update, but we are already working on it.

Pictures will come on Friday, there you will also see the first real life pictures from the editor we can not show yet because, just not started yet we want to build the vehicles first, then the track, but the building of Thale and also the cable car that will work. Are already relatively finished in 3dMax.

Because of the addon, I have it as a placeholder so far, but we want to exchange most of it for our own stuff.

Did I already say that you should also drive a small part on the narrow-gauge railroad?

I won't say any more about the narrow-gauge railroad because that's still too early!

Such a bold announcement, we now have official permission from Abellio to build the line with real logos and infrastructure all the way to Berlin main station.

This has opened up a new project for me. As soon as I have something new from HSB, I'll let you know. An art of mine is currently modeling a 995906.

Generell: Viel Glück beim Projekt, ich selber hatte schon Ideen nur für (Magdeburg) - Brandenburg - Werder - Potsdam - (Berllin-Wannsee) bin dann aber vor dem Ausmaß zurückgeschreckt

Danke Erstmal, ja wir sind am Überlegen halt das Addon Kostenpflichtig zumachen per DTG oder halt Kostenlos. Aber sobald sich was Ergibt sage ich Bescheid. Aber Ja ist einbissen Kilometer.

This would be a superb route. About 15 yeas ago I spent a week on a working exchange visit to the HSB, and have been back as a visitor a few times since. It's a great little network: die Größte unter den Kleinen, as they say.

I'll definitely be keeping an eye on this one

...since I also come from Saxony-Anhalt and see the Abellio railcars almost every day (and even the summit of the "Brocken" when the visibility is clear), I'm really excited about your project! The planned network length of 180 km is quite a mammoth task, considering that the TSW standard is an average of 50-80 km.

It's great that Abellio agreed to allow his brand logo to be used. The Lint railcar would fit in well with the now constantly growing German railcar fleet.

If your team is really committed to it, it would be worth considering applying to DTG as a third party developer later. Because already established developers are usually busy enough. For now I would continue to work on the route and the Lint railcar and regularly show screenshot updates in this thread. Screenshots are always very well received in the community. Even small details that stand out from the rest of the standard (such as new 3D assets or buildings) bring in additional plus points.

I think many of those who have presented their projects here in the editor's corner of the forum also have ambitions to switch to the developer side!

Was für ein Lint 41/ Br 648 wird es denn sein wenn ich fragen darf (bin neugierig).

Wird es ein 648.0 (also die Grundbauserie (wird in Schleswig-Holstein eingesetzt) Einstieghöhe 780mm) sein, oder ein 648.1 (wird bei der Regionalbahn NRW eingesetzt) Einstieghöhe 780mm) sein, oder ein 648.20 (wird bei der Regionalbahn NRW eingesetzt) Einstieghöhe 590mm (mit Fahrkartenautomat)) sein, oder ein 648.25 (wird bei der Regionalbahn Niedersachsen eingesetzt) Einstieghöhe 590mm mit geänderter Antriebsanlage) sein? Es interessiert mich eben, weil sich diese Bauserien von gewissen Sachen wie z.b vom Führerstand her ein wenig unterscheiden und bin gespannt was ihr für einen Lint 41 baut.

Dazu möchte ich dieses Projekt mit dem Lint 41 und der Strecke sehr loben und wünsche noch ein Frohes Fest und gutes Gelingen.

 

Wird die Strecke dann nur auf PC verfügbar sein ?

 

PC editor strecken sind nur für PC verfügbar. Es sei denn man vermarktet sie über DTG dann ist sie für alle Plattformen verfügbar.

Es kommt auf Jeden fall bald eine Ankündigung, da ich was Geplant habe, was vllt. Leute in Sachsen Gefallen wird. Da wir noch in Gesprächen sind mit 'Blured' (Wegen Schutz der Firma) , aber die Stellen sich leider Quer wenn es um Streckenpläne geht. Ich werde aber bald was Schreiben, wo es auch um Vereine Geht.

Ich gebe ein Tipp!

Die Strecke Spielt an der Mulde die Geplant ist.

Wenn ihr Jetzt denkt das Projekt ist auf Eis Gelegt, das Stimmt nicht! Wir wollen halt erstmal die Grunddaten haben und dann fangen wir an. Weil ich und ihr keine Lust auf Freischnauze bauen Habt!

Deshalb Bauen wir erstmal eine Kleine Strecke in Sachsen, wo ihr dann sehen werdet, wie Unser Baustil wird! Danach fangen wir an den Abschnitt Thale-Halberstadt Zu veröffentlichen. Ich hoffe Ihr könnt unsere Gedanken nachvollziehen! Dazu aber nochmal an einer Anderen Stelle.

There will be an announcement soon in any case, because I have something planned that might please people in Saxony. We are still in talks with 'Blured' (because of the protection of the company), but unfortunately they are cross when it comes to route plans. But I will write something soon, where it is also about clubs.

The route plays on the Mulde which is planned.

If you think the project has been put on ice, that's not true! We just want to have the basic data first and then we'll get started. Because you and I don't want to build a free track!

That's why we're building a small section in Saxony first, where you'll see what our building style will be like! Then we'll start publishing the Thale-Halberstadt section. I hope you can understand our thoughts! But more on that in another post.

damn, if I got 180km of different route options and branches and all, I would even pay for it, like, if DTG took it under their wing I just love it when routes have playable branches, different pathways... which is why I love Dresden Riesa, LIRR and such ones

For freight trains this must include Rangierbahnhof Potsdam Seddin otherwise they will be ending at the Central Station

 

I also would like to add an idea which could be considered if the route project is coming close to be finished. If the route is planned to go to Berlin and you ever would think about to implement the complete south branch of Potsdam, further up northeast of the Rangierbahnhof Seddin, I think it would be a cool idea if you could add some nice cinematic shows and locations inside of the Filmpark Babelsberg close to the similar naming station "Potsdam Medienstadt Babelsberg".

The railways are actually not too far away to see some nice event spots in the distance. Since we even can't replicate everything 1 to 1 like in real life, I maybe would even think about to bring the filmpark a few meters closer to the railway in its virtual replication.

But that is just a suggestion. If it's too much work, forget it.

Ich hoffe ihr könnt mein Point Nachvollziehen.

I don't think you will get an answer to this here. We are just a few people here from complete Germany, where the majority probably never even heard of that city.

But why do you think Google Maps is so wrong there? Do you have a screenshot?

 

Ich glaube halt das es Falsch war, aber ich habe bilder Bekommen was es jetzt wieder Relativiert hat

I just think it was wrong, but I got pictures which put it into perspective again

 

Manchmal gibt es kleine Bildfehler in Google Maps, wo man einfach sieht, dass es so in der Realität nicht stammen kann. Aber bei großen Kurven müssten diese grob auch so in echt vorhanden sein.

Sometimes there are little errors in the Google Maps Overlay, where you clearly can see that it doesn’t match to reality. But for bigger curves, they roughly should exist like that in real life.

Hi, Erstmal Danke für das Lob, also diese Map wird erstmal Kostenlos rauskommen, aber wir wissen Natürlich nicht was sich noch ergibt.

Wir sind bemüht, eine Lösung mit DTG oder anderen Entwicklern zufinden.

 

Sonst klar bei weiteren Projekten, wollen wir auch 3rd Party Entwickler Zuwerden.
