Is there an easy way to take any timetabled service and change the Loco (ie. Keep all the same timetable events, AI etc. but use a different train)?
As far as I am aware, no. Removing a train from the timetable means it's gone for good. Maybe a mod? But nothing official
Currently only possible with mods. Like mods that replace the Dostos with N Wagens, or a certain locomotive with another one in the timrtable.
Matt has said on another thread that he thinks it should be possible to make it so that locos/units/stock can be swapped out in this way, and that he’ll have a look at it - so no promises made, but fingers crossed it may be possible one day.
Oh I hope so, I really can't stand the 101. The 150/2 and the 142 will take over for the NTP/TVL lines!
…and I’ll be doing the opposite, replacing the 150 and various other newer units with the 101. Everyone gets to drive what they want.
True, but I’d like to be able to do it on other routes, such as Cross City (which I could do with a mod on TSW3, but can’t yet do on TSW4).
I don’t think so. As far as I know God Mode enables driving of certain trains on certain routes, but does not allow you to drive a different train on a timetable in Timetable Mode. I may be wrong though - hopefully someone can correct me!
