Happy Christmas all…. Need some help…. Have been running Train Sim 3 on disc on my X Box One, and today set up my new Series S with Train Sim 4 Special Edition download with all the fantastic new routes. Shocker I know a lot of you don’t like the Glasgow - Edinburgh route, but I live on the route so this was my first purchase add on. I have downloaded it today and it shows as owned on my home page, but the route is missing from my Sim 4 route list. My question is: as this was an original Sim 3 route does Sim 3 need to be installed on my series S before this will show or should it be there available to play? I know I need to contact Dovetail to get support on how to get a download for Sim 3 as I had it on actual disc….but thought the new route should show on the sim4 route list…. Any suggestions? If you have Train Sim World 4 all add ons from Train Sim World 3 and previous titles should be already available to install.
Hi I guess to put it more simply the question would be do I need to have train sim 3 installed on my new series s for this route to work as it was a sim 3 route? It shows as owned on Sim4 but hasn’t installed it…all the other routes in the store that I own have an orange tick on them, this one just shows as owned but with no orange tick…and not showing in my routes… thank Paul
You shouldn't need to as TSW3 add ons can be purchased in TSW4. If its telling you that then I'd raise a ticket with DTG support. They might be able to help.
Thanks Jack, it’s not telling me that I need Sim3, I’m just assuming that I do because the route isn’t showing…even though it shows as owned….I’m not great with all this to be honest…
If not know already ..go into games and apps then select see all check in the box of what content you want to download the click save changes and it should install you have to download each route seperate .plus since a lot of people getting new systems for Christmas.or get tsw4 this be adivice for newbies to bothn..i had same issue when i got first tsw game didnt realize had to download each route seperately
