I had to install TSC and TS Tools on my new PC. However I find that whenever I try to edit any scenario I get the above message saying this file or one of its dependencies are not correctly registered or missing. The file is in the TS Tools folder. I have re installed TS Tools twice and cannot see what else I can do. Anyone else come across this?
Ok did that but it threw an error but may have done something. Never seen this before in all my years of using TS tools
Reef It occurred after one of Mike's upgrades (which could have been due to a Windows 10 update) and he has always stated that you had to run TS_Tools as admin.
It's always been advisable to run in Admin mode yes, but now with Win10 and 11 if you have TSC on your C drive in Program Files (x86) Windows really doesn't like granting access, the only true way to combat the nannyness is with a combo of TSC (more specifically the RailWorks folder) in the route location of it's own dedicated drive and using tools like TSTools in Administrator mode.
When I start RW Tools it starts as it normally did. When I start TS Tools - I do have both - it comes up with the UAC and "Do you want to allow this app to make changes." Even if I start with "Run as Administrator" the same UAC box appears Both RW Tools and TS Tools are on my G Drive the same as Steam and the game.
