This has always been a question that I have wanted to ask (and now I have done). Every route released so far, even Blackpool, seems to have a very half-hearted approach to Paths (and their start/finish points in-game). This, in turn, makes the job of creating interesting scenarios very difficult because you can't really go anywhere. (Most routes having their main lines and one or two sidings as start and finish points). I just wondered why this was? Are paths particularly difficult to make? Does DTG / Other Route Developers not really want us to make scenarios preferring timetables? What is it? (Similarly - Why does an AI service have to match/be less than a platform length?) I'm not looking for 100s of paths.....in many cases just a couple more would make all the difference to most routes.
Nope. That's not how Scenario Creation works. I can have plans to put a service in a scenario but, even though I would like a 10 coach express, I am limited to a 2 car Cl101 DMU by the platform length of a minor station that my service might not even stop at. This is even sillier when it comes to the placement of freight services.
