Hello everyone I couldn't help to propose another suggestion. so here we are The Piccadilly line in classic way "route suggestion". For many reasons which others may look better at 9 lines in some parts, I wanted to make a suggestion about something that seems familiar. And still iconic through many years of service. The line has 25 underground stations, of which a further 28 are visible from the outside. one of the well-known stations is Piccadilly Circus also as a transfer point to another Tube line, the current Bakerloo Line. There is even a closed museum railway from Holborn to Aldwych that was active until 1994 where today an original example of a 1972 tube stock still stands Literally a time capsule that takes you back The piccadilly line is 71.0 km long converted into Miles is approximately 44 miles long. it has 53 stations or rather stopping points along the entire route, opened in the year 1906. specific type of transport: 1973 Tube stock Will soon be replaced by the new Siemens 2024 Tube stock to replace the current one.
How is it unlikely? If that's the case, then there wouldn't be more than one high speed line either, but there are a few of those already.
A great opportunity to get more underground lines in to tsw as the Piccadilly was thought of for tsw2. And it's not a route up north
After all, maybe the Underground is quite popular and then there are 'assets' that were made for it. Everyone has their own opinion, but I still believe in it, even if the chance is very small
I'd love to see this. As long as DTG came keep the quality consistent across the entire route length. The BKL had some problems that they've hopefully learmed from. This is something Just trains could also have a go at too since they've done the Met line in TSC
DTG couldn't pull off BKL that well. This route is far more complex and the quality of routes has decreased significantly since 2020, thus I doubt DTG would even be bothered doing a half-arsed version. The best bet for any more LUL content is JT doing a Met line.
Excellent suggestion, would love to see this in TSW seeing as it would feature manual driving on a good amount of both underground and surface parts of the line, whilst also serving as a great opportunity to digitally preserve the 1973 Stock before it retires in 2025
Give this to Just Trains that way we get both 1973 and 2024 stock. The latter gets an alt paint scheme for Bakerloo line that way Stonebridge Park gets 1938 1972 and 2024 stock Trains.
Don't see why having one line already makes another line unlikely. Anyways to the OP I really like this post as its my closest tube line and will have to sadly soon witness the replacement of them old 73 stock.
I get your point but DTG can realize it as well - after the Vorarlberg S Bahn. Add quality sounds including realistic traction engines and an improvement of the headlights in the tunnel so that it is not completely dark. as announce. Those things are missing from the Bakerloo Line; in my opinion.
Exactly the london underground is highly requested, The Piccadilly Line, Northern Line, Central Line, Hammersmith and City Line, Circle Line, District Line, Jubilee Line and Metropolitan Line has all been requested in the forums so DTG or JT should take notice from the players in my opinion
Not if JT make a London Underground route as I've got there first release Blackpool -Preston and Ormskirk and it runs no issues so my opinion JT should make the next London Underground route
1973 Stock A few more photos to keep it topic One more reason to do this is the recognisability of the dying Brush Traction motors trains. For that reason, it really shouldn't be missing from the collection.
Agreed, the 1973TS has lovely acceleration and braking sounds and despite being only a year older than the 1972TS we have in TSW, both trains are very different, with the 1973TS having an entirely different braking system (non-Westinghouse), one of the earliest forms of a Train Management System on an underground train, digital passenger information screens, and end car windows instead of lamps. Not to mention that the Piccadilly Line trains actually have a cab door which means you don't have to annoyingly enter and exit through the passenger saloon.
Indeed! London Underground For me it was also an ideal route to enjoy the challenge of coming to a stop as quickly as possible at unpredictable moments in the right distance. The great thing about it is all the experiences there is from the Bakerloo line, at least it is not a first attempt (although the many shortcomings, such as insufficient lighting in the tunnels, which was of course normal for a TSW 2 route, and other smaller details.) Therefore, with each part missing from the previous one: Announcements, working front door, correct traction sounds, safety systems. Just like some others in the community I always will agree with new classic underground line
Yes, I'm glad they chose to tackle a 'deep tube' line and seeing how they admitted themselves it was challenging, it was a decent first attempt. Still, many of us would like to see the other tube lines represented as they all have their unique quirks and features so I hope they manage to do the Piccadilly Line in TSW before the 1973TS retires, and yes Bakerloo Line is showing it's age now compared to other newer routes and really needs updates like you said, TOD4 Lighting, announcements, and better sounds, etc
The Piccadilly’s my second-closest line, and by far my favourite - it’ll certainly be a shame when the old 1973 Stock gets replaced. I’d absolutely love to see it and the Piccadilly Line in TSW.
If I may give my 2 pence here. This is very highly unlikely to ever happen, I have watched interviews with devs, when TSW2 was released, they had the option to choose between Bakerloo or Picadilly (I think the Northern might also have got thrown around a bit in suggestion, but ultimately it came down to the above 2). To sum it up, majority of Devs are actually relieved they in the end took the decision to do the Bakerloo as the Picadilly upon review would've proved a much harder project, I'm not saying it will happen, just saying, highly unlikely, as this is a route that has technically already been proposed and in term rejected
But in this case, we are two games on from Bakerloo's release. It'd be bad management if they ignore what their customers want.
That statement is so true. Customers of Train sim world spend a large amount on their well earned money on games and add ons and we at least meed good routes in return
why can't we have more routes up north? We still have a huge lack of them by the way (the only proper northern route we have is the glossop line which isn't great oh and cross city and the mml are in the midlands).
I would love the Picadilly line. Keep up the great work! You create great forums and I have seen them on the Rivet Games website. I also enjoy watching your channel. Ilba8765
Would prefer to see the new stock used rather than the old stock - although could instead be set in a transition period with approx 50/50?
I would prefer the 1973 stock to preserve those iconic trains. Based on previous posts, it seems as if people would prefer a completely manual route
The 1973 stocks are iconic anyway so would be great to create this route before they implement the new stock
The route likely isn’t in production yet. I’m proposing that, if it comes at all, it is created after/during and set during the transition period.
I do not think they will create another London Underground line anytime soon. MRFS said that if they were to create another line then he has the data which suggests that they are not currently working on one.
I would prefer an above ground route like the ECML North (York to Newcastle) anyway tbh. Apologies, as I know you’re really keen to see more LU.
The MK1 1972 stock at Aldwych was sadly scrapped a number of years ago - it would make for a good mastery reward though, but if the Aldwych branch isn't included it could be tucked away at a depot or something.
