Here is a video of the Stadler Euro9000 (in german). We can see all the details of the cab and engine room that could be used by DTG to create the model and all the fonctions.
Now with the access to the editor, I believe that if DTG won't make the EuroDual, someone else will. I do hope that eventually it gets made, I want to drive diesel so bad but I have no interests in the older DB Diesel Loks.
damn I would love to drive this MONSTER BEAST in TSW, I mean, 500 kN of power, six axles, humongous dimensions... pls bring it in game
The Stadler Euro9000 is the only European locomotive with such performance. What's more, it has been ordered in large quantities by ELP for leasing to numerous companies. If DTG succeeds in obtaining licenses (RTB Cargo, Rail Force One or Alpha Trains), we could have a wide variety of liveries. However, if DTG does make us this locomotive (which I sincerely hope they will), it has to be better realised than the Siemens Vectron, which I find a little disappointing because of the absence of the ETCS system and the fact that you can't get into the engine room.
well, after the ETCS fiasco in Luzern-Sursee I bet they arent rushing into ETCS much otherwise I quite like Vectron, too bad they havent introduced any passenger consists with it as for other locos with such performance, I would bet that India has one like that (cos they have huge and long trains in general)... and I dont know much about figures for US locos, but dont know about any that can do 500 kN on its own, but I might be wrong
I believe I also saw one parked at Wien - Kledering, you can clearly discern it cos it is so big just read Wikipedia and I see it is also fit for passenger use, although cos of its brute strength it is currently used more on heavy freight... but yeah, I kinda like the idea of a 6axle loco thats also passenger... that many axles look badass for some reason (besides practical advantages)
It's true that in theory the Stadler Euro 9000 can be used for passenger services, but to date it's used exclusively for freight services. However, it is designed for a maximum speed of 160 km/h, but this version has not yet been ordered.
maybe one day when OBB decides to run Indian-railways-length kind of service lol, they will need those 500 kN of powah
HVLE has just received several EuroDuals with stadard cabs, unlike their predecessors which had HVLE-specific cabs. Here are 2 photos for comparison Older version new version
Just realised how much this loco looks like a vectron. Surely some of these liveries are on CC somewhere.
it reminds me a lot of Nowag Dragon... speaking of Nowag, heard of the maintenance scandal they had recently? if stuff those hackers harvested from some of their machines prove to be real, Nowag is basically LOVE*ed in EU
You are joking, I hope? It is quite literally a completely different looking engine, with a totally different appearance! It has 6 axles to begin with...
Quite the difference between the two and for TSW4 this might be suited for something like Karawankenbahn Villach Laibach (Ljubljana) because the only third party who has the knowledge to make it is RSSLO. As a matter of fact they're the ones who made the locomotive for train simulator classic. The manual for the locomotive and game needs to be modified to include console controls. However you are better off using a keyboard on the console when dealing with PZB90(Indusi) LZB Sifa because you can easily mess up with it using a console controller
The BBL Euro 9000 looks really cool, and another color than anything ingame right now. I'd love to have the Euro 9000 ingame. Onrail in Norway has ELP's Euro 9000 in use too and their livery looks cool.
Oh yea. They're quite different. I can see it now. The shell and base shape is similar but everything else is quite different.
so... much... orange... the decals kinda suck, but the color, daaamn anyway, I want this loco in the game, using both diesel and electrics
Hello everyone, HSL Logistik introduced it's new Euro9000 leased to ELP, it's the 2019 314 "Bull" and I found it absolutely beautiful. It could be so cool to have this one if DTG get the HSL Logistik licence. Photo from Railcolornews
Great choice there. I would definitely buy this add-on. Also with RSSLO coming to the TSW platform. Is anyone from RSSLO on this forum? Perhaps they could do this add-on as their first release into the game. I have their TSC pack of this locomotive and I love it. Also I think a low height version of this locomotive is coming to the UK in the form of a Class 99? I have to be honest, I am beginning to love the Stadler Eurodual locomotives and they sound very similar to a Class 68 when in diesel mode.
Matching route for this guy might be my SFS Wien Hbf/Kledering to Salzburg Hbf/Salzburg Gnigl Westbahn suggestion since RSSLO made it for TSC including the Eurodual.
Vienna to Salzburg would be gorgeous but maybe a bit too long for DTG... and as some here including me have already mentioned, to do Kledering they would have to really create those hump yard mechanics as for having this beast in-game, hell yeah, but properly done and with some expert features to make it worth while
Personally I would like to see RSSLO do the route and the Stadler Eurodual. It would be a better product in my opinion.
Hello everyone, here is an artist view (from railcolornews) of the class 99 which is the british version of the EuroDual. This loco is still under construction but is way more beautiful than the class 66 (and is also dual-mode). https://railcolornews.com/2024/03/1...very-design-of-class-99-for-beacon-rail-gbrf/
Also I hope DB Cargo UK will buy the Class 99's as the Class 99/3's such as 99301-99325 to replace the Class 60's that they recently withdrawn from their operations. These heavy haul regeared Class 99's would be a better investment than the Class 66's that are not far from 30 years old. Here is a mock up here. Not perfect but an impression of what if the Stadler Class 99's were used on the Lindsey to Kingsbury workings. It pulled the 31 TEA tankers better than a Class 60 and the Class 66.
Here is an artist view of the Trenitalia E 464 which is basically a Stadler EuroLight. They will be used for frecciarossa rescue and for some operation like the traction of the Orient Express. (Picture from Railcolor News)
After the announcement of the Expert BR 101, I think the Stadler Euro9000 would be ideal for this type of locomotive because it has a lot of systems to set (PZB, ETCS, ATB, SCMT, ...).
Hello everyone, here is some photos (from railcolornews) of the Stadler Euro9000 2019 316 from LTE (austrian operator).
while it looks cool... *a little paaartyyy never killed nooboodyyy* drug references in 21st century marketing? nice PR move lol
wonder when also passenger railways take notice of its huge power and set it to haul like long night trains with both coaches and cars
Given that DTG has the DB license/s for its German routes it would make sense to start off with a big red beast
I really hope that DTG have a plan to made this loc in expert version like the 101 expert. If they made the Euro 9000 in expert version, you will have to set PZB, ETCS, SCMT, ATB, ... This would be so cool especcialy if they made a route in the Netherland or in Italy.
With the announcement of TSW5 and the add of DB br 193 Vectron, I really hope that DTG add the Stadler Euro 9000 in DB livery to have the future backbone of german modern freight locomotive of DB Cargo (br 185, br 193 and the Euro 9000).
Hello everyone, here is some pictures of the class 99 that will be exposed at Innotrans 2024. The class 99 is the british version of the EuroDual/Euro 9000. (Photos from railcolor news)
