With a German route if I clone a scenario only the Player Train appears in the timings in the Scenario Editor.
I know there are a lot more trains in the Scenario but you cannot edit them

I think if you change something in the ScenarioProperties files it allows you to see all the train timings?

    TIA

Changing this line of the ScenarioProperties file does the trick
    <AuthoredLanguage d:type="cDeltaString">en</AuthoredLanguage>

Its down the bottom and just searching for Language finds it.

If you change the language to English will you get a correct translation, and will that appear on our screens in the appropriate pop up box when we are driving on the route? I have never bothered with foreign scenario packs as not understanding the instructions personally speaking is a waste of time and a lot of money, this could be a game changer if it works well, I would buy loads of packs to utilise on all my German/Austrian routes, and some of the French ones as well.

    Not sure TBH.
I noticed the scenario instructions were still in German but appeared in English in the scenario.

Hmmm, well I've amended a couple of scenarios in updated German routes off the RailSim.de website, but, the pop up is still in German in the game, so, unsure if I have done anything wrong (quite probable), will try a couple of French ones off the DTG Strasbourg route and see if that works.

The best way is to use Utilties.exe and create an excel sheet to provide the translations, then Utilities can create the .lan files. (You could just copy the whole german column to the english column, save and make the .lan which will then allow editing.)

If a scenario was authored in german and does not have .lan files, the editor will only display the data if you set TS to german. You can play the scenario in English settings (of course TS will not auto translate for you), but the map will not show consist names etc. While English will be shown for all other language settings for undefined localisations, it's not the other way round.

I have done this already on some scenarios. Copied all <German>text</German> entries to the <English> tags, but you must do it in all files (ScenarioProperties.xml, scenario.bin and ScenarioNetworkProperties.bin (in case of custom markers).

Changing "AuthoredLanguage" alone does not solve that.

Basically a scenario author should provide localisation files, but of course no one does that. And I understand that it's not in the primary interest of the author to let you edit their scenarios.

The same thing happens with custom consists. A german user who has created consists and switches to english, will lose all their consists - because the <English> name tags are empty.

Yesterday was the first time I needed to change a scenario and your instructions worked perfectly.
I changed an evening scenario from a 20.20 start to a 10.30 start and I could also alter the AI trains :)

    Thanks
