well skyhook did the big update for midland mainline. I mean some of their other things are... not the best but i think they have clawed their way back to the middle ground somewhat.
Here we go again. Passengers with reflective, self-illuminating hair. Why can’t they just get this stuff right?! If Just Trains can do it, so can everyone else. Out of all the good stuff in that video, that is the only thing I take away from it. Sort this **** out, please!
Once Steam gets it posted, will pre order. If I don't like what I see Thursday, can cancel. I have both parts of this route in TSC and have played everything I could find for it. Also have watched at least 10 cab ride videos on it, so, for me, it's a must have.
There is a pre-order already... Smart to do if you like it its 10% off... https://store.steampowered.com/app/...inalinie_Tirano__Ospizio_Bernina_Route_AddOn/
It's publicly available for me, try a force refresh (Ctrl/Shift-F5) or try via looking in the TSW 4 DLC store.
For me its not a big deal.... Its more if services are broke and the train isn't not good enough but everyone is diffrent.....
None of it is acceptable. You’re essentially saying that you’re happy to buy a product with copy and paste errors from previous products as long as some of the other issues that are big enough to bother you aren’t too bad. This is exactly what I talk about when I talk about the rapid inconsistency of TSW, you never know what you’re going to get from one DLC to the next and that isn’t good enough. There is absolutely no reason for them to still be setting these materials up incorrectly. Just get it done right!
No off course its not a good sign but if you have to say 100% to this small things is this a dealbreaker or not..... Let me be clear this is not a good thing. Anyways is this not a core problem? I see in other routes like Niddertalbahn also such things where the passangers do strange things....
Never has shown up in Steam Store for me. I got it by going into my Library and then TSW 4. It was there in the articles.

Pre-ordering / purchasing day 1 is 100% the opposite of the smart thing to do IMO. Avoid the inevitable early adopter "why this, why that" broken pieces. If it pans out and gets updated, may as well pick it up in 6 months at half price. You literally won't be missing anything.
So a short route, no logical stopping point, one loco and only around 55 services? While asking for £29.99? lol, is the only response I have to that. WAY overpriced for the ammount of content. £24.99 is the absolute max it should be, if not £19.99.
You also have a 'Do Not Buy' option which is why they offer pre-release videos and tbh, it may cosmetically look ok but let's be honest, £29.99 and for no extra charge, you get freebies with this DLC, they are called bugs. Enjoy
The video shows mostly still imagery from various cherry picked angles. Marketing 101 to hide all the flaws. But as usual there's always quite a few who fall for it hook line and sucker.
£29.99 Rivet? You are having a laugh, aren’t you!!! £19.99 would be a fair price. £29.99 from St. Moritz, but not for such a short route. I will wait for a 50% steam sale and buy North London Goblin Line and Rosenheim to Salzberg instead.
£29.99, to use a bit of Cockney rhyming slang, they've got to be having a tin bath with that one. And no one in their right mind is going to preorder this half route with one train to get £3 off. I know Focus Entertainment are desperate for money, via DTG/Rivet but if this is going to be the sort of release candidate and price for TSW routes going forward, they might as well pull the shutters down on the project. And it wouldn't surprise me if they don't try the same pricing with the Goblin Line, if they get away with it on Bernina(ish).
Sharon E, you are going to be so disappointed as no Rivet route has come close to the cab rides. Their designs have been more fairytale than realistic to the actual route. I will be very surprised if Bernina isn’t the same. IMO Rivet should stick to making locomotives and leave route designs to the professionals.
Please let people make their own decisions about quality or not! This not fair to say that. Everyone has other expectations for a route and please give people this space. Its a way of taste....
The hair in TSW is bad but it is just as bad in JT’s route as it is anywhere else. Some people look like they are wearing shiny brown plastic crash helmets.
I'm sure there are other routes that also don't look realistic compared to the real thing in terms of scenery. Can't always make it 1:1. I also have no idea what the route would have looked like in a specific time period
Why he gives such advice on his own opinion?! Let people make self their decision on what is good or not... It always a kind of taste and your taste is different from others in most cases!
I agree WCL was disappointing in many respects, although the station areas were well modelled. Arosa is quite decent with the latest updates, although the distant scenery still is quite poor, at least Rivet looks to do something different. The Glasgow to Edinburgh is very good scenery wise, the 385 still suffers in the sound department. The Isle of Wight route, especially the latest version is a very good route. Therefore, I think you are being disingenuous to say the least. I am sure most people can make up their own minds without being patronised.
Forum rule #1 Don't say anything nice about the game or you will be laughed at ridiculed and called a sucker.
Thats a understatement... We have seen nearly nothing and all the complaints are endless.... 90% with not a fair explaining
Yes, it is getting tiresome. This place has become such an echo chamber lately that I think some really feel that everyone should feel, or does feel the same way. I can find plenty of things to complain about with TSW but some of the hyperbole on here is astonishing. Of course some of it by people who don't even appear to have TSW4.
Ah yes, everything is perfectly fine because the majority thinks everything is not perfectly fine. Because unfixed issues since TSW 2/3, promised features not being released, broken releases and so on are just unwarranted complains without anything behind it.
Not everything is fine. But sastifactory enough to enjoy it without people telling me my opinion is wrong. I don't say your opinion is wrong, if in your opinion it sucks then so be it. Why troll the people who don't agree and enjoy the game. Just because you aren't happy then no one should be? Sounds like a sad life. The games not perfect so name me one that is?
Whilst that is a good thing, I do think it's unacceptable that the midland mainline released in that state to begin with. All that showed really was that the devs needed more time but higher ups decided to rush it out the door for immediate earnings despite the horrible quality. There are indeed games which were messes when they released but even though devs went back and improved it, their reputation had been damaged. Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, Cyberpunk 2077, Assassin Creed Unity are just some of many examples of that.
Here we go again! I have not said everything is perfectly fine, I don't think anyone has, well maybe one poster. There are plenty of things I don't agree with, which I have been vocal about or which has stopped me buying certain content, like the new German route. However those determined to see everything negatively have lately been quite dismissive of those who don't have the same outlook. There have been some quite petty insults aimed at those of us who purchased TSW4 since its release. Deflecting peoples point of view by alluding to statements which have not been made is not the way to get a point across. It creates a false dichotomy that everything is black and white, there is a middle ground where you can enjoy TSW4, not think DTG are the spawn of Satan and yet think that TSW does fall down in areas, requires improvement and get frustrated with some of DTG's decisions.
I've moaned about DTG, but even I'm getting tired of the perpetual negativity. I have to admit I've had a lot of fun from this sim. Sorry.
Nobody forces you to hate TSW or DTG, and nobody thinks DTG is the pure evil on earth. Nobody is forbidding you to enjoy TSW. I do too enjoy TSW as much as I can, but deflecting glaring issues that get worse and worse with promises that "they'll fix it, some time in the future" just to release the next "version" of TSW and charging more and more for less and less content is NOT negativity. You and me can enjoy as much as you can enjoy yourself in TSW, but think again - maybe it's not the "negativity" from the forum users but rather a effect of things going really wrong? Maybe it's a indicator that things shouldn't be the way it is? The majority is not always wrong as some may think.
A regular poster made an analogy between DTG's problems and the Post Office scandal. That is, well I don't know what to call it. I wouldn't be surprised if the majority simply buy dlc and never visit this forum. Or use discord instead. Admittedly I have no data so this is pointless.
Yes that was me and if you're going to reference add my very certain caveat that not on the same level, simply illustrating what can go catastrophically wrong when a software developer or company becomes so arrogant they are convinced of their infallibility and dismiss concerns. Or as we have seen since the start of the Christmas break fail to address concerns which have been raised - such as the alleged demise of any further fixes to steam or steam content. Leaving those of us who parted with nearly £60 for SoS and PFR plus the FS element in the TSW4 pack with a forever broken experience. I am neither a TSW nor DTG fanboy or hater but of late the product has been disappointing on all levels.
