Since Part 1 of the Winter Core Update dropped I am having issues switching cabs using the Ctrl + and Ctrl - key combos. They were a little wonky before, sometimes I would press Ctrl - then have to hit the 1 key to get into the cab, but now its doing wierd things like putting me under the train : Or under the terrain : Or some kind of nowhere land : If I jump around a bunch with the Ctrl +/- keys and First Person and Boom Camera keys I can get back into a cab and sometimes the cab I want but its kind of a pain in the butt. Is anyone else having this trouble? It seems like its worse on long trains on Cajon Pass and Sherman Hill though I've seen it happen on New York-Trenton a couple times as well. Makes me wonder if it has something to do with this Core fix? "Fixed a rare condition causing players to end up underneath the map when cycling through the passenger camera views." DW
Can confirm this. It's broken since the update. And it's needed, for example for turning on marker lights in the cabcar on US trains.
I just posted this on another related thread. I too can confirm this issue. Switching cabs is no longer working properly.
Was wondering if anyone submitted a ticket for this? I was instructed to do so but not sure how much light of day it will see or if it will even be addressed in the next update considering it’s a bug with a basic core game feature. Walking to each locomotive/cabcar is tedious.
Well that certainly did the trick. Even though it’s still technically bugged, that trick works. Thanks!
I find in the current state hitting the 1 key after Ctrl -/+ is a little hit and miss. It used to work reliably before Winter Core Update Part 1 but now it doesn't work very often for me. At least not on long freight trains, I had a devil of a time last night getting back to the front on an intermodel train on Cajon Pass. It seemed to be putting me in the middle of each intermodel car one after the other. DW
I’ve been pressing the 1 key after CTRL -/+ and have had no issues at all switching back and forth between cabs doing it that way. It works just as it did before the update using this method.
